Yeah! I like to have different overdrives and distortions. I just bought that Drive plus now when Ashdown dropped their prices, and I have to say it's wonderful pedal. Great from mild overdrive to brutal distortion. Those blending and separate low and high frequency drive are really superb built-in features. Definitely a keeper.

I used have Big muff and also a Double muff once and I really wanted to like them, but they are just too fuzzy for my taste.

Is it transparent enough for you? (can you tell it's YOUR bass and amp?)

i believe the mxr bass blowtorch ONLY distorts the mids...i kno every soundclip ever posted of it is a nasty almost uselessly distorted sound, but, the thing has knobs on it, and they go down as well as up...so im sure u can dial in something much less aggressive, still keep ur clean bottom end and crisp treble

Well it does the job really good for my taste, and it doesn't destroy my sound at all. If you want only to drive the mids, there should be also a mid drive knob.

My rig has two channels. Channel 1 is left and above of the diagonal line.

Channel 2 has all the effects controlled by a 3 loooper.

No bottom loss here.

That's a cool set-up. Do you use that Morley wah for heavy, distorted stuff or do you use it for funky, slapping and popping? I know that it's supposed to do both but IYO, does it do the funky, Bootsy thing very well? Thanks.

Here's a pic of the rig

Channel 1 is SVT + 810

Channel 2 is SVT4 Pro + SWR 410+Avatar 115

The SWR 350X isn't connected to anything.

My pedals. I used to have over 20 but thank goodness for the GT6B, I'm done adding stomps. The Morley is more to my taste in the funky mode. I always use it with overdrive and to me, the normal setting sounds bleaty or shrill when dirt is added.

Normally I will have two basses connected to the loooper as well but today only the cream SR is connected.

i always wondered what the acoustic simulator would sound like on bass. can you descibe or compare the sound to anything? i really wanna know.:bassist:
