Post your pedalboards - Part IV

Nice board Boo. The review that you wrote really has me thinking about that power wah instead of my dunlop 105q. The GAS never ends...

I owned a 105Q for about a month, and I spent a lot of time comparing it to my Power Wah. Sure, they're vastly different pedals, but I was looking for the one that would better fit my style and not have any odd quirks. The 105Q was full of funk, but didn't bypass too smoothly. I know it can be tweaked though - I think there's a trim pot inside to adjust the delay time.

The Power Wah, on the other hand, isn't switchless, but it has a broad range and a very different sound - one that I prefer to the 105Q. A bit more difficult to tweak, but still awesome.

I'd definitely try to A/B both before you settle on one or the other, since they're essentially polar opposites :p

I'm kind of getting annoyed with the whole switchless aspect of the dunlop, and I find that I'm always having to adjust the Q and level to get it to play nice with the rest of my effects:hmm:. Plus I'm pretty far from any kind of funk player. The PWO may fit my bill.

I might even be able to sell the dunlop on ebay for more than the PWO will cost me ;) :ninja:

Anyway, thanks for all the info!

i need another daisy chain to power my odb-3 and ceb-3, and the second bf-2 is being held hostage, it belongs to tirdbassist once he pays me for it :p

Even out of the box, the 105Q's delay hasn't been a problem for me (it actually felt like it was a little shorter than what most reviewers said). For me, it's like the hiss in the Clone Theory... I really like the way the pedal sounds, so it's not enough to make me take it off my board.

I'll still check out that trim pot thing though. :)

P.S. Ordered a Micro Q-tron today, so am anxious to get my hands on it! Stupid G.A.S! I JUST got my board finished! :D lol

jetpack, you have a lot of pedals, looks tight! I thought I was going to turn into an effect whore, but now that I'm playing with a band again, I am mainly using only OD and chorus, might get a compressor soon...

new pedalboard coming soon! might start building it tomorrow... probably done by the end of the week...
