Boo: The Micro Q-Tron is super funkalicious. The high and mid-passes don't really work on bass and you have to crank the Q and Drive knobs to at least 2:00 to get much of an effect, but I really like the sound and the dynamics.

I really didn't think it would be safe running more than one daisy chain off of a 1-Spot so I bought a second one. Guess I'll do my homework next time.

As for the other wall warts, I have them hooked up to the NS-2 and the SansAmp. I figured that since I paid for them, might as well use them. :p

Crabby: Yep, the SansAmp is always on. What an amazing box!

I had looked into spending some serious bucks on the Voodoo Labs power brick, but after researching, it seems like the 1 Spot or Godlyke unit are all you will need for up to aroun 20 pedals.

That is assuming they all require the same voltage and polarity.

I have MXR, EHX, Boss, Dunlop, Aphex, HAO, Fulltone on my board and they all work together.

The thing to keep in mind is that you will never likely have 20 pedals turned on at the same time. Well you might, but many overdrives and similar units use very little power.

I have had no issues at all running my entire set up off of one Godlyke Powerall. There is no noise, hum and virtually no tone suck. I have no need for a power strip on my pedal board and it keeps things very clean and tidy.

I actually own 2 Poweralls, and was thinking of running them both just to make sure I always have lots of power, but this would require adding a power strip which I had been trying to avoid.

I'm all about keeping the pedal board looking clean and neat and having very simple connections.

I had this idea to build a very small pedal that would have a master bypass loop with the guitar-in and amp-out jacks both on one side, or on top of the pedal and then a single ac input on one side to plug the Godlyke into.

Then on the other side would be an ac socket to plug a removeable ac cord inot (like on the back of most amp heads that have a removeable ac cord).

This way, you would have one place to plug in both guitar cables and an ac cord. There would be no wear and tear on any of your pedal jacks and all the cables would come from one position on the board. This could be an MXR size small pedal and sit on one corner of the board.

I would love to see something like this.

I use a 1Spot daisy chain with my boss adapter. It works perfectly, I have no power problems.

But then again I need 3 other adapters because I use pedals with weird power regulations...

Yeah, you can link daisy chains (I've done it with two before, when I had an 8 pedal setup), and it'll work with any good regulated wall wart that delivers 9VDC. Ideally, you'd want to use something like a Godlyke Powerall or a Visual Sound 1 Spot, only because they deliver more power overall (1700mA maximum), which is necessary when powering a lot of pedals. The Boss PSA-120 delivers only 300mA at most, and while I've used it before for small groups of pedals without issues, I wouldn't use it for 10 or 20 of them.

I use a One-spot for my pedalboard power. I have the DD-3, Punch Factory, Sansamp, Chorus, Flanger, XXL, Tremolo, and Wah attached to it.

The only things not powered by the one spot are the Tonebender (due to lack of a DC adapter) and the Whammy/Wah (cause it's a different plug).

I've had no problems running the whole setup this way.

Ah. Not too much different than my experience with it. Ever compared it to the Mini Q-Tron? I haven't had the chance to A/B them, but everyone seems to think the Mini is better for some reason. :hmm:

Skintfoot missed out some fairly important info there though, I debated this with a friend of mine for quite some time, we came to the conclusion (by him emailing the company back and forth and posting on the Ernie Ball forums), that since 2005 the EB volume pedals have much better bypass, and the Tuner out is completely seperate.

From that article it would suggest that if you plugged in a tuner in the Tuner Out you would immediatly notice a drop in volume while playing a note, however on my model, and on all models produced after 2005, this is not the case.

No sir. I had to order the Micro Q-Tron from Musician's Friend because the two local shops around here (a Guitar Center and an independent place where the guy I asked had never even heard of a Q-Tron! :eek: ) did not have one. Yay for the return period, but I won't be needing it on this one. :)

Couple of new things going over here but the most newest thing is my actual board.
First one is my old one and the second one is my new board, much nicer to carry around now.:hyper:

I've got a couple of new pedals on the go that haven't yet turned up.
Ohh yeah and i would just like to say to higge i had most of these pedals or an idea of most of these pedals befor i did see yours ...I am not stalking you .......Yet....:help: :D

I've been using a morley power wah for a couple of weeks and replaced my crybaby but it just wasn't happening for me. So i'm back to runnning my crybaby until i can find an old original morley wah.
The pisser is i don't really use a wah a whole lot, but the songs i use it in it needs to be a good wah...
Custom chorus is on the way and a brownbog fuzz.
I will then replace my looper with a barge concepts blender with a mod or some other blending pedal..
The synth pedal will go eventually but i can't afford anything else at the moment to replace it with but it's hardley used either accept for one song..
Anyway heres my new case/board.
This thing has been a work in progress but i just never seem to be happy with it. It's actually starting to Sh&t me..... anyhoo

Glad to hear you guys like the Micro Q-Tron... I've been eyeballing it on MF.com, because no one around me has one in stock either. :(

A question: I've got a EHX Clone Theory and I REALLY like the effect, but there IS a little hiss when it's on. I'm just curious, is there any hiss or white noise in the Micro Q? I couldn't find any reviews on it so if you want to get a little more in depth (PM me if necessary), I'd certainly appreciate it!

I have noticed a little hiss with the Clone Theory as well, but I didn't notice anything with the Micro Q-Tron.

The Clone Theory is by far my noisiest pedal. I guess its the design. i dont mind though, as it sounds so good and isnt on all the time.

My other EHX pedals are dead silent. All are true bypass.
