oh I'm in a good mood. I'm finally home for summer which means: time to build my ABY box, time to build 3 booster pedals, painting all of those and my "chinese firedrill", building a new pedalboard, plus a love interest! muahaha, oh and I will have a band at least through the summer, we practiced today and it was GREAT

this shall be a great summer!

oh and I will definitely post update picture of all this as I finish things, I want to start the booster pedals now, but i still need to buy a PCB

I heard that its not such a good idea to use the Tuner Out on the EB... that it splits your signal in two giving less to both (outputs). You notice anything?

I plug my tuner that way also.
I have no problem at all.

- Added a Micro Q-Tron
- Removed the Line 6 Liqua-Flange (currently on eBay)
- Added a second 1-Spot
- Replaced the power strip with a smaller version that works better with the 1-Spots
- Moved the Punch Factory to get compression on distortion and wah sounds
- Moved the SansAmp to the very end

Signal path: Bass -> TU-2 -> DF-7 -> WD7 -> Q-Tron -> Punch Factory -> Clone Theory -> DigiDelay -> NS2 -> RV-5 -> SansAmp -> Amp

Nice! I see you've got a Clone Theory, too. And how are you liking the Micro Q-Tron?

Regarding your power supplies... why do you have so many wall warts? I know the Digitech ones are high-draw pedals, but does your whole 9VDC arsenal really exceed 1700mA? Are you using just one daisy chain per 1 Spot?

And why do you have a Boss wall wart? Shouldn't the 1 Spot have replaced it, too?

I was thinking the same thing. A single One Spot unit should power pretty much everything. I use a Godlyke Powerall for 15 pedals and it works like a charm.

I like your setup. Do you use the Sans Amp all the time? I have one but its not on my board at the moment as is seems to interact with other effects in a strange way.

Now that I think about it, Crabby, you're right - he really only needs just ONE 1 Spot. Maybe two if the Digitech pedals draw THAT much, but just one should be able to handle it all, with three daisy chains linked together to provide enough plugs for all ten of them.

I pulled my EB volume pedal off my board because I thought it was a huge tone sucker...I had a tuner plugged into the tuner out, and and was basically using the VP and a tuner mute. The write up by Stinkfoot is spot on...

Hey, wouldnt you be able to power most of yur effects from your tuner?? Meaning you may only need the Boss power supply? Maybe one other 1 spot.

No, you really don't want to do that. There's several problems:

- The Tuner doesn't actually "power" anything - it just has a DC Out jack, so it acts like the beginning of a daisy chain and just lets power pass through it.

- The Boss Daisy Chain is painfully short, and won't work for any custom arrangement other than a bunch of Boss pedals in a row.

- The Boss Power Supply provides only 300mA maximum. He might as well use the 1 Spot only and save himself some space.

- One of the purposes of a 1 Spot is to avoid any such dependence on a pedal with a DC Out Jack.

Basically... 1 Spot = no need to use the DC Out jack of either the TU-2 or the NS-2, and that's a very good thing.

ok hold on... i asked this to my guitar center rep yesterday, it IS possible to link daisy chains to each other right?

like if i have 1 power supply, i can attach a daisy chain to it, and then another daisy chain to that one... right?

or is that just for the 1spot? cuz i dont own one of those
