It's been a while...
Got a new kitty... a Bengal-Cat - a domestic bred with an Asian Leopard Cat.
He's only 10 months old and already 13lbs and larger than most domestics.
Bengals are amazing. He'll take two full years to mature. We're expecting him to end up around 25lbs.
He loves when I sit in my studio and play. All of my cats do. They must like the frequencies of the bass.
Here he is from the past weekend when I was having my carpets cleaned. So all of my basses were out of their rack and on stands.
In front is my new Spector NS-1MM. A really solid - great sounding/playing bass. It has the 1.5" Doug Wimbish Spector jazz neck profile.

Nah, I wish they'd make one, I'd be all over it...but honestly, a Pbass doesn't sound half bad through that guitar amp, I've been wanting to hook it up to one of my bass cabinets, perhaps I'll have some time next week...

My understanding is that they did make one for a short period of time, but had quality issues with it. I think it was the first project of a new engineer that Dr. Z brought on board. I never got the chance to check one out, but maybe I'll see if they still have one laying around when I'm next back that way.

What's really funny is that my sister worked in the shop for awhile building circuit boards. She has no interest in music at all, but she's great with a soldering iron.

Here's a pic I think I shared a while ago. Jackie was a marvelous cat. Mrs. Bassist4dalord and I had to put her down today She had developed kidney disease and stopped eating. Went from 9lbs 10oz on 9/5 to 8lbs 12oz on 10/1. We got to say farewell during the procedure at the vet's office.

We got her on January 23, 2012, two weeks after we got married. She will be missed!

I'm sorry to hear the news about Jackie. I understand your loss. After having had cats for a long time, I've lost a lot of them and it never gets any easier. Thanks for loving her and giving her a great home.
