Paul, I'm using "Got the Blues (2 col psts)" and have experienced a slight problem. The same problem also occurs with the regular "Got the Blues" layout. Some links are white, and are practically invisible on the light grey backgrounds. For example, the "View Poll Results" link (on a poll you haven't voted on) can barely be seen. Also, when replying (not quickreply), the "Logged in as jenderfazz" text near the top has the same problem. The "jenderfazz" link is white and thus can't be seen properly. This might be a problem with my computer, but it definitely isn't a browser issue (it occurs with both Mozilla and IE 6.0. Take a look into it if you can. The layout looks great otherwise! Keep it up! :)

In any case, both are wrong. The latter returns threads in something other then chronological order, or perhaps no order at all, and threads in which I've posted in the past 1/2 hour aren't included.

Doing a quick search searches the text of posts, so it'll return results in which a post contains your username (for example, if joe doe writes: "Hey SMASH, whatdaya think of..."

Doing an advanced search for posts by yourself will return all threads in which you've participated in, and should be ordered by the thread's last modification date. I did a search for SMASH and I'm seeing threads which you've participated in, with the ones which were posted in today at the top.

I'm not sure why the past 30 minutes is not included, but I suspect it is because this forum software delays a lot of database updates for optimization.

Thanks for the info... 2 col mode, now I get it, check. Supporting members now in bold, check. Everything was too... WHITE, switched to got the blues and now the white-on-white dialog box problem is gone, check.

New ones - WSYWIG editor in got the blues mode sometimes has invisible cursor. And the smilies window in PM editor hangs in space half out of the editor box.

The screenfonts still seem kinda big. Kind of annoying, but I use Opera so I just click size down and it's fine. 80% is a bit small, 90% is still a bit large but it's ok. 85% would be ideal.

I'm honestly not sure what sort of algorithm the advanced search uses for a username search result order. I've never gotten a chronological result set. I'll dig through the code sometime...

You are choosing the 'find all posts by user' option, and not, 'find threads started by user', right (drop-down menu in advanced search)? If you want to find your posts, the better method seems to be to click on your username, or view your profile, and select 'find all posts by user'. I get a chronologically ordered result set every time that way -

Like it, love it, can't live without it!

A couple of minor things: Used to be when I'd access the site, I was automatically logged on, nothing manual to do, and the "Most recent posts" deal was on the home page (which I kinda liked).

I now log in manually, but even with the "Remember me" box checked, it never remembers. Any suggestions/explanations?

Head to this page: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/mycookies.php and check all the cookies, and hit 'delete'. this will clear your TalkBass cookies.

Then make sure you have cookies enabled in your browser, and you should now stay logged in. Clearing out the old cookies frequently fixes this problem.

Please just change it back at least until the app is fixed.

Security is not a concern here .. this is not my bank.

I'll check back once a month or so .. when the app quits showing "Network Error" I'll know it's fixed and can get back to visiting the site.

Too cumbersome, slow.

It would be nice if XenForo would allow users to choose how many posts per page are displayed. Limiting it to only 20 is a bummer for me. I liked having 40 posts per page with vBulletin, but even more than 40 would be great for me.

Thanks for all your work, Paul. Lots of people don't understand the security issues, so take that with the grain of salt.

The preview pics in classified listings where the users icon usually appear are nice, although they are often stretched or oddly cropped. is there a way to fine tune that?

People hate change. In a week or two, things will simmer down and we'll all have forgotten about the change in format. Thanks for making TB the great place it is!

To be brief
I am 57 years an completely fed up with having to learn again how to work with again a new forum.
It was fine with me how it was.
Now the android app does not work anymore and i have to fiddle around with buttons and knobs again to find my way.
I am so sick of this because it is not only talkbass but hundred of other fora ,sites etc.
Bullocks!!
