This was my setup for years, more than enough power and lightweight. Played it both bi-amped and bridged mono.
When I look at the tiny powersection of my Aguilar Tonehammer, it makes me wonder if there are poweramps in a smaller case. I'd like to use them with the Signal from my pedalboard and would have no need for a 19" rack.

All in all, I really like this idea - if the tone and power is right, then I'd have no complaints. The portability would be lovely.
I like to keep the amp as close to the cab as possible, but otherwise, I'm all for the 'My pedalboard does the sound, all I need is a tiny class D unit to drive the cab' concept.
I was reading somewhere here on TB that Tech21 does not recommend the merging of the the channels from the GED2112. If you were going to run a GED2112, optimally the best option would be to run the power amp in stereo, rather than bridged mono, to take advantage of the GED2112s dual channels. Running stereo from a single power amp means less power on tap than running in bridge mono. The only option at that point would be to run a power amp which has equatable wattage in 8ohm stereo or 4 ohm stereo, as you would have run with an RBI and a power amp in mono bridge. So you're already talking more money outlay at the front end. I believe that Tech21 is offering a service to make the GED 2112 output mono and mixable from the front panel that does not void the warranty.
Amen; but, we are up against a market size reality.
The current single channel Class D power section in better self standing micros is the ICEPower 700ASC. Or, perhaps, it’s ACS; I forget the alphabet soup. Anyhow, one would think it would make sense to put one or two of those in a small enclosure, and sell them to bass players who have their preamps on their pedal board. Great concept. Problem is that the market size vs standard rack mount power amps is laughingly small. So, what you get is very inexpensive standard rack size power amps. Or, more expensive small manufacturer units, like the Demeter Minnie 800D.
I expect it is much more likely that the speaker cabinet manufacturers will start putting the power sections in the cabinets. That approach is consistent with the powered PA speaker development going on at QSC etc.
To the OP: couple other great power amps to consider are the Carvin DCM series and the Crest ProLite series; both very reasonably priced and excellent performers. Power is cheap these days.

To run both channels into one is patch the deep channel out into the FX loop return and set FX loop to 50/50
No your drive output level is the master volume and you use the deep channel output level to blend that channel in as desired.
You connect the drive channel outputs to your power amp and FOH etc
We were responding to someone using and A/B box in reverse. That can work but not all A/B boxes are the same and in some cases the sound will be compromised. The solution below is the easiest way or you can contact us for instructions to have a tech modify it internally.
I've always been SO curious to try one of these, but it's hard to actually get your hands on one to test it out.

yup, I use an RBI w/ a PLX 3402 as my big rig.
Like when I know we are playing outdoors, and there will be several cabinets available, I can drive 2 fridges really hard.
But most of the time I use the Shuttle 9.0 nowadays...
