Oh, and I'd be in favour of a .110 or even .115 flat, but I do tune to D-standard. Love that .055 G, but then it's an F for me. A a result, I find myself gravitating towards LaBella Jamersons and Ernie Ball Group I flats.
I know... I feel like such a traitor...

Each to their own, but I just can't get down with that .110 flat-wound E string. A .110 round wound E string is pretty great and I have used the rotosound nickel plated steel set of that gauge, but hey I mean some guys including some of the greatest bass players of all time have gravitated towards that heavier flatwound E&A so who am I to judge?

Well, I did mention I tune to D-standard, so dropping down a whole tone is a significant change in tension.

Yes yes, that definitely makes a big difference, I just found that for standard e through G tuning that was a little much for me.
Got any yootube samples? I'd love to hear some of that. (Plus I'd love some of whatever you're drinking, or smoking...)
I can’t remember the gauges off the top of my head, but they are quite stiff from what I remember. That’s going back probably 15 years though. They were one of the first flatwound strings I ever tried.
Sold the few weeks old mim fender Player P(dead spot on E string and string buzz appear on G string 10th - 13th fret ) yesterday, bass gone and GHS 3025 gone.
Until today, GHS dint give me single email reply and Jon dint follow me up my 3025's E string issue.

I have private messages from earlier in the month that prove otherwise. What exactly did I not follow up on you with?
Our last conversation on 7th Aug , after I told you that my local GC tech suspect factory winding issue.
Later I just waiting for your reply , then I bought another set and comfirm the new set have good E string,until I sold the bass along with the 3025 yesterday, I still dint get any solution from you/GHS.
The suck E string on first set also cause an arguments right here after I share my opinion here.

Right, at which point there was nothing else to discuss. You asked if the string was bad, I said it was hard to diagnose long distance. I put a set on here and didn't have the same thing, and we both came to the realization that the set you'd had on for months may have had a bad E string.
What else were you looking for? What resolution were you hoping to get?
