Praise Report: GHS Precision Flats

I get a call from bass guitar tech and he confirm there are winding problem on the E string. Others string just fine without issue.

Even I am waiting reply from GHS and Jon will let me know anything about the 3025 after he give a test on his bass.But I want to give another try with 3025 , so my tech try his best to get a new set for me in the shortest time.

I admire your persistence in trying to get this "dull E" issue resolved. I may have spoken a little too soon when I told you to forget it and move on and be happy with the TIJF and the La Bella LTF.

Please let us know how this whole thing works out.

I give the 3025 another try just because the E string sound absolutely “ Dull and lifeless” compare to Dullest E on my previous set DR legend.
All my previous posts have been sharing me with 3025. Really honest, there is no emotion to trample on.

The E string of this set are totally stiffer and no strong output than previous one.

Will report back few weeks later.

So far I only get reply from Jon and he also suspect I got a bad E string, but nothing from GHS yet.

They last so long and sound so good! I keep waiting for mine to wear out so I can by a new heavier set like you play @nerkoids! Besides @Jon Moody is busy in the ghs laboratory cooking up new balanced sets of roundcore Bass Boomers for the teaming masses of string starved bass players everywhere.

And Fender calls their heaviest set medium. That's good enough for me. My new Rumble Studio 40 has a preset called 'Fat Bassman' (modeled on the Bassman 300) so it's bad enough to have my bass amp mocking me. The last thing I need is for my strings to be 'Heavy Set'. :laugh:

This thread was started exactly five years ago on Aug 22. And speaking for myself, I have to say it's been a fun journey so far. Took me a while (as in five whole years) to catch on, but I've finally found what I was looking for.

Precision on Precision = No better match. :thumbsup:

Wow! Thank You @michael_t :woot: I played this bass last night with the five year old GHS Precision flats, and didn't think of writing a five year update. They still sound superb and they're not coming off. How's that? :laugh:
