Praise Report: GHS Precision Flats

Now I share something about stiffness ( not tone wise )between Ti JF344 and GHS 3025.
Some history record on TB forum is, Ti low string tension is not for everyone, especially the floopiest A string. But after I play the 3025 on same pbass, I notice the PF A string stiffness feel is very close to Ti A. Maybe a little bit stiffer, but just tiny different.
The GHS E is looser than Ti E on my plucking finger. On tension chat I recall that pf E is higher tension than Ti E, but in practice, it is opposite.
Actually the Ghs 3025 is in a same floopy string boat, just the D and G has higher string tension.
For some body, after long live with 3025 and report that the string is very balance tension, you should try TiJF344 what a call “balance tention”. ( except tone )
Tijf344, labella LTF4A and GHS 3025 is nice low tension Flatwound bass string in the market, find the one you prefer. But don't blame TiJF344 floopy and can't play if you really can't handle it, just surrender. Or try to finetune your playing skill to live with it. Nothing is unachievable.

Something like round core string hype.

I also dint said I hate it , just telling everything happened on my 3025 set.

Even your experience is opposite than me, but nothing wrong with my opinion share here. I never wrote any sentence boycott 3025, but in your mind I am sweat it.

I keep trying is my own business and that is my habit , you no need worry.
Please do! Opinions will vary, as will perceptions (and even individual string sets, to some extent). It’s great that we have a place to share these observations and that you’re all willing to do so!
It pleases me this thread lives on, and that we have others coming to the fold.
I'm happy to be back in the fold, thanks to a new set of light Precision Flats for my Aria Pro II CSB-300. They're the perfect match.
I've had Precision Flats before (on a different bass), so I knew full well how delightful these strings are; and yet, instead of doing the sensible thing several months ago and just ordering another set for this new bass, I went on a wild goose chase, involving Fender 9050s (which were quite objectionable in several regards, at least on this bass), Dunlop Super Brights (which were objectionable in other regards), Dunlop Nickels (better; I still harbored a quaint idea of making this my 'rounds bass'), and finally (sigh) these GHS flats. They're delivering precisely the tone I was after for this bass, warm yet punchy, with a wonderful feel. Thank goodness they'll last for years. I'm sick of changing strings!
[Update: I like these so much, I strung my other bass with P Flats today to replace a set of La Bellas that had gone a bit too thuddy after more than two years of use, so I'm all in now.]

I share the same feeling about the P Flats. My P bass has finally found a perfect mate.
Hey guys, what are y'all opinions on the 5 string set of GHS flats? I've got a set of Rotosound flats on my SX 5 stringer right now but I'm thinking of going all the way with GHS. Are they higher tension than the Rotosound?
What gauges of Roto Flats are you talking about? The Precision Flats are probably not quite as stiff as the Rotos when comparing the same gauges.
Meanwhile, the only factory 5-string set for the P Flats is the medium set, 45-65-85-105-126.
I personally don't use them for my 5-string but if I were to put together a 5-string set, I would probably take the light set (45-60-75-95) and add the single 126B.
Not even close. Rotosound is notorious for high tension and stiff strings. GHS Precision Flats in the same gauges will be lower in overall tension and more flexible.
If you're asking about the actual tension as in pulling weight, the P Flats are definitely lighter than the Rotos.
In fact, the medium P Flats (45-65-85-105) have roughly the same tension as the medium Boomers (45-65-85-105).
After get advise from my Local GC experience bass guitar tech, he ask for 3025 a try on his MIJ P, let him figure out what the problem on this USD 22 flatwound string. And i Email to GHS regard my 3025 issue.

I'm using the standard 5 string set - 45-65-85-105-130. They're not unbearably stiff, quite nice feeling actually, but they are pulling the already thin neck forward by quite a bit. That's actually the plan, I just got the light gauge GHS P flats in and I'll be ordering a single B pretty soon.
Great to hear. They're fine strings, just kind of wreaking havoc on my bass neck. Here's hoping these P flats will solve my problems as they've done twice before.
I'll report back when I get everything situated.
M3050-5 (45-65-85-105-126) = 219.0 lbs.
3025 (45-60-75-95) = 163.2 lbs. + 126B (34.4 lbs.) = 197.6 lbs.
In comparison, the D'Addario XL Nickel Roundwound Regular Light 5-strings set, 45-65-80-100-130, weighs in at 197.8 lbs.
