You couldn't pay me to put up with owning a Ferrari. However, although a Jazz bass is not my first-call instrument, if you own more than 3 basses, one should be a Jazz.

IMO calling a Jazz a Ferrari relative to the PB being a Chevy had to have come from the the marketing department, or Leo knew more about sales than we give him credit.

In the 1950s if the Precision was a Chevy or a Ford, the Jazz Bass was a Ferrari or a Cadillac.

It wasn't until 1967 that Ford beat Ferrari.
