Don't worry about getting an adaptor for the plugs either; there's a pair of pins (- & +) on the LED strips and you plug the barrel jacks to the pins (one pin goes inside the barrel, the other on the outside... should like up if you've got it right.)

sooooooo? do they help you see pedals or more for aesthetic pleasure?

lol. or do they actually hurt your ability to see your loot in low light?

i'm trying to find a solution. we've played a few shows lately where even though i ask the sound guy or lights guy to PLEASE DON'T EVER GO ALL THE WAY DARK ON STAGE, they still do some times. and that just screws me. i have to click between too many things and shtuff.

I'm just toying with it so far; there have been gigs where the stage floor has been very dark, and having some lighting would make it easier to stomp on the pedals, and maybe more importantly, make it less likely my band mates stumble over my pedalboard when moving around during and between sets. Since my board has two tiers I could put one LED strip under the edge of the top level, works quite nicely to put some light on the lower level, but I don't have a good idea for how to light the top tier. I think I'll probably scrap the whole idea in the end, but it's fun to mess around with some ideas.

The easy solution is one of those dual swan neck type lights that people use on music stands, but that's not as fun. :)

Lighting under the pedalboard doesn't work for me. it might look cool but I think it probably makes it less easy to see the pedals.

I sometimes clip a music stand light to the front of my board. Here's the board with and without the light, it's one of these: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/det...g&matchtype=&gclid=CLf395Wr0bsCFYw1QgodLCgANA
