PYPB 44: ...like Tetris with boxes, wires and cables

Simple did not completely work out.

Moved my pedals around, couldn't leave my wah after delay so that was my priority change. I much prefer having delay after wah. Also put my octaver before dirt, they always work better that way IME. My phat phuk b is also before dirt now and the dirt sounds a bit more foused now, although possibly a bit more compressed. I dig it though, it's just a subtle difference. And the last, my phase 100 is the last in chain, after delay. It really gives a nice whoosh to those delays and works a lot better than a manual wah after delays. It's like an additional modulation effect for my delay. I dig!

Simple moving around pedals made a huge difference for my board and the tones I'm getting out of it.

I have no idea, never tried the LMB-3, but i'd assume by the way my brother in law fell from his chair when he first heard the cali that they're verry diffrent. I wonder if they have the cali at moog. You could bring your LmB-3 with you and compare!

Certainly smaller! I do miss the BDPG though for super subby bass, although that could be the combo with the all valve LB30...
What's next? I'm on the search for a preamp pedal that can give me the sound and feel of the little bastard and if I can't find something I may just try to get another LB! The avalon U5 I'm using right now sounds great but the valve sound and feel is addictive!

They don't have dealers in Canada, aside from guitar effects Canada.

You could go to Moog and ask them if you can try out a WarmAudio WA76, or maybe they and an UA1176LN or UA6176 in stock. That would be the closest to the sound that you would get to the pedal. While the 1176/6176 will be even better, you'd be very happy with a Cali76-TX compared to those (get a TX version).

It is night and day compared to a boss, and pretty much every compressor in the 100-200$ range and beyond. You have to try one to believe it :)

I have a 6176 as my preamp and, the Cali does get close. But, it has a footswitch, fits on your board, etc, etc, etc. It's basically the perfect pedal compressor ;) Well, along with the FEA ones :)
