PYPB 44: ...like Tetris with boxes, wires and cables

I got it to be a tight gated fuzz to counter my muff. It can get super tight, almost too much, if the gate knob is pushed too high you get a lot of splattering buzz. The sound can go from a sputtering super atonal splat to a "normal" open and heavy fuzz. I replaced my Earthquaker Terminal with it, which was another heavy sputtery blown out fuzz (based on the Shin Ei, I believe) and I actually think the Haunt is better for a couple reasons, 1) the mix knob, which lets you bring back some sound when you have the pedal set super sputtery, and 2) there is way more bass tone retained with the Haunt, even when you push the tone knob as high as it can, still a lot of bass to be found.

Honest first impression, I think it will be on my board for quite awhile, it really is a powerful fuzz, might be too noisy for some people, but I think that is part of its charm, its noise! I am really digging setting the pedal to a super atonal splatter, with the mix knob, I think I can use it with a band.

I do not think it sounds like very many fuzzes I have played before, but I would put it in the same category with the Fuzz Factory, EQD Terminal, and the Gnomeratron VTF.

Still need more time to play with it, it just got here last Saturday, stupid job getting in the way of my pedal playing.

Sounds very cool. It's nice to see original designs and not just old modded fuzz circuits. To me it sounds like it might be a little bassmasterish. Wondering how it would sound next to my Diabolik.

There was a time when a "finished" board was a mirage, but I have been to rehab for GAS and have had a moment of clarity!

After years of experimentation and hundreds of pedals bought and sold - I have finally got my dream custom board all wired up and couldn't be more stoked!

There was a time when a "finished" board was a mirage, but I have been to rehab for GAS and have had a moment of clarity!

I always prefer modulation before dirt EXCEPT for the BEZ--- having a Street Sweeper at the end of a chain allows you to make some really cool sounds -- most specifically the sensation of being closed in on(especially with delay enabled).

I def don't do metal- but what I do can get heavy-


I have space fir about one more stompbox and may add another dirt between the flange and the strymon to have another colour on the palette--- but otherwise this is it for me

Hah ha! That reminds me of another thread about where to place a flanger, before or after dirt. I wound up suggesting having multiples of each and running flanger-dirt-flanger-dirt-flanger-dirt-flanger...

It is literally just duct tape and a badge, I just wanted mine to look different.

They're hand painted, mostly red blue or teal that I've seen. A few one off colors out there with a premium price, I've seen some flags and a purple one that cost extra.

But the cicuit is the exact same for all of them afaik.

Well I just did a quick mess around with it! I move the gate, tone and fuzz knobs around a few times. Just bass and pedal plugged straight into my computer, no compressor or eq or anything like that.

Indeed that is a master on/off powerswitch for the board! There are also master input/output jacks on either side of the board (I should have pictured)

I can attest tone snobs are ridiculously high quality and much cheaper than a lot of others I researched. Very satisfied!

That is really cool. I would've opted for a side mount but that looks really pimp. That's two things I would like to do to my board one day, master in/out and master power. It's not so bad the way I have it now but your way is way cooler. Kudos.

Wow!! That is way more splattery than I thought it would be. I know splattery is not a word but that's the best description I could come up with. Sounds crazy! It's like it takes the B:assmaster to another level of harsh fuzzy noise destruction. I bet a cavernous reverb would sound insane paired with that.
