I'm going to take a guess that at 1:04 you blended in a lot more dry signal. I have to admit that I'm not a big fan of the affected signal itself, but blended in with the clean tone it sounds friggin dope

I'm going to take a guess that at 1:04 you blended in a lot more dry signal. I have to admit that I'm not a big fan of the affected signal itself, but blended in with the clean tone it sounds friggin dope
I think that is just where I turned the gate knob completely off. I don't think I messed with the mix knob at all, I kept it about noon, which is 50/50.

but as long as I have the Zoom BT100 on the board I have my original bass tones covered! Just got the Tech 21 Blonde from a member here and really digging it so far!

If that Blonde is as good for bass as its copy the Joyo American, that's quite the nice little board for bass, too.Solid ^

Well I tried, I really did. The Manta is pretty sweet...and the OFD is handy-ish BUT when I have three on, sometimes even two, I just can't get tones that I like with them without TONS of tweaking. I have a rack of cool over-driving preamps including a VT-RM and the BDDI there...so the OFD was mostly useless...and I don't like the interfaces on the Soundblox at all...SOOOO if they had blown me away tonality-wise I'd live with it BUT they did not and I want to go back to analog distortion and moreover I MUCH prefer tapping individual pedals in and out vs a list of virtual presets that I have to remember via the MIDI Mouse. Handy for performance...annoying for playing and experimenting. Also, I can't stand that I can't take the Soundblox in and out without reverting to presets...or then having to remember to resave to a switch if I change anything...and having to get down on my knees with a magnifying glass to see the bloody mode I'm in (blinded by the super bright LED no less)...MEH!!! I want out LOL. I feel like I'm going to get beat up by the SA crowd...just not my cup'o'tea...more power to you all. Mainly I was feeling tone-flat and the other day I plugged into a Pickle and a Markbass head and HOLY GAWD it all came back to me. KISS for me. OH! And I played with a Mobius and whoooaaa supa-cool that's all the DSP I need on my board in one unit with pre/post routing. I like my modulation clean and precise and my dirt DIRTY. And I miss having a analog octave...I could go on and on. Mobius on the way. Pickle on the way. Octabvre on the way. Happy nerd xmas on the way teehee.
Definitely not for everyone. You don't have to worry about getting criticized over it, if people got criticized every time they flipped a pedal on here, there would be no end to it
I can sympathize ... on the other hand I've many times wished for presets so I can get more out of individual pedals without having to have several similar pedals on the board or having to change settings between songs. The grass is always greener.
Which is why ... I'll soon have one analog board and one digital board so I can choose.

I feel very similar to you. I think they're cool but I'm not a fan of the interface. If I'm at a gig and need to tweak something I'd rather just grab the knob and turn it rather than go through a menu to do my tweaking. I generally need to tweak my dirt tone at every gig, whether it be a small adjustment in volume or gain.
I'm hanging onto the OFD and Orbital just in case I ever end up building a MIDI rig. Which really is only a matter of time when I think about it.
Personally, I love the SA SB2 pedals because they just save you on board real estate. I am just not that big on modulation. But, I have everything I could need with the Manta, OFD, Orbital, and Dimension. Saves me from having 5 filter pedals, 3 choruses, 2 reverbs, 3 phasers, 2 flangers, etc, etc, etc.
Right now, the SB2 pedals take up 16% of the surface of my PT-Pro, the midi stuff is all under the board and on the secondary board (PT-2). Without those pedals, I would need to sacrifice a lot more board space for stuff I kind of want sometimes. I honestly barely use the OFD, I have 7 other ODs on my board, 5 Fuzzes, 1 Distortion, 4 Preamps, boosts, etc. But, it is great to have the OFD engage in a midi scene with the other SB2 pedals.
It's weird, I am perfectly happy getting 1-2 sound dirt pedals. I just don't want to do the same with modulation and filters. I just don't like that stuff enough I guess. So, for me, the SB2 pedals are a great fit, for that tiny part of my board.

That really nails how I feel too. I wish my dirts had presets, but they sound so good I'm willing to have some one-trick ponies. For filter/modulation/delay I want Swiss Army Knives.

I agree with everyone above RE real estate. Four SB2's is a LOT of option in four spots, well five with the MIDI controller. I think that the Manta is my very fav of all of these so I'm going to hang on to that because I use it mainly for a static sub dub tone and it's beautiful. I don't know if the Mobius will replicate that with its filters. The Orbital will be covered by the Mobius, the Multiwave will be replaced by analog dirt, and I just don't need the OFD. I DO LOVE the MIDI patch saving/switching and I'm a big systems nerd so I'm sad to take this apart BUT I'm not really a live performance player and I just don't need it. Who knows in a year I'll probably regret taking this apart hahahahaha.
If I had ONE suggestion for SA for future Soundblox it would be to provide a digital interconnect so that there is just one a>d/d>a stage per contiguous segment of modules. It would be sweet if they could sense neighbors over the 1/4" cables and negotiate a link without reconstructing and resampling. I know the agreed upon argument is that a stack of AD's and DA's like this isn't going to be THAT big of a deal, especially for low freq signals but this method DOES generate aliasing at every resampling step. Does it matter? *shrugs*
The SB2's are technically impressive.
P.S.> I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE looking at everyone's boards and routing in this and the other threads!

I sent my white M5 to R3FX in September to get some mods done. The only thing I've heard since then was that my pedal had been received. The website is down right now, but I hope to get my pedal back eventually. I would not recommend R3FX at this time.
Since then, I learned to mod the M5 myself!

Hah looks like you and I have the same comp with the same settings. Our B7Ks are pretty similar too.
