I've got size 15s myself, it does get a little tricky for me, I need to space things out a bit.
I don't think I could play that 12 step with my feet at all, haha.
I have some dainty, spritely, size 8.5 feet. I'm 28 now and still fit into pairs of shoes I bought in middle school. For some reason it's a part of my body that ceased to grow with the rest.
I've had my eyes on a setup with a 12step controlling animoog on an iPad for a while, but have just had too much pedal gas to go down that rabbit hole.

The 12step is a very cool piece of gear ... you shouldn't hesitate if you need something like this.
I had to get the midi expander so it would work with my old GR-30 but it work great.
The hold function is brilliant .... it let you toggle between the note hold mode or momentary mode in about a millisecond .... very easy.
I have a gig this weekend ... I can't wait!
Yeah Jason, I want the Mesa M9. That thing sounds like my ideal amp right now. I wish I had the cash to just get one today. But I dont, so I will have to wait. A while. I am looking forward to getting the 15/6/1 though. Do you have an attunator (bad spelling) on yours? The one Im getting doesnt have it and Im a tad worried it may be too shrill for me. But the seller reassures me it isnt. I should just trust him about it as he is a good stand up dude. I can always install one if I wanted too. I plan on getting an F212 way alter down the road too.
J_Mitchu - yerp. lol. i stopped growing vertically and foot wise when i was about 13 too. i filled out quite a bit when i hit 20, but i've been 6'4" with normal for my size leg appendages forever.
for sure. that was a big turning point for me actually. realizing i'd had most everything interesting at my house at that point that i cared about, and it made way more sense to start paying attention to gear i need or have a use for with the music i'm trying to do. and portability, quick setup/teardown, usefulness/accessibility to things whilst playing..... the Gods Of Need. at least for me. hell, i'm so glad i did, but it was a few hundred to get a custom board from Elon at Custom District just to get rid of a PT Mini bag. WORTH IT.
i'm not knocking people that don't play out at all. music is a beautiful expression whether it's out there in clubs or written for soundtracks or something you do at home just for yourself. just saying there's different things to pay attention to (for me) when it's a home music station vs something you want to use at shows.
lol. my home ****-around setup is wayyyyyy more spastic and useless for live stuff than what i put on my boards.
I gig live all the time & with gear I'm always thanking about transporting & carrying & setup & teardown & oh yeah actually playing.
I've had my pedals to close before & didn't realize it until I was at a gig singing trying to stomp it without looking.
This 12step will be a challenge to sing, play bass & play it all at once .... should be fun though.

The first show I ever played with a pedalboard, I must have shifted the pedals at least three times during the brief soundcheck and the actual gig so that I could actually hit them reliably while playing (and sometimes singing). At least I only had around four pedals on a PT Mini so it was quick and painless to move them. Learned that lesson real fast.

meh. i am SPOILED. my drummer is awesome and super open to suggestion stuff. he comes from a more rock/prog background, so he comes up with way different stuff than i would, but when i write out electro beats he is fiiiiiiiiiine with copying them then adding in his touches that make them better.
oof. yeah. that, not having reliable wiring, not paying attention to a good interface so you can switch toanz easily between sections and songs.... lots to pay attention to and feel all crappy and embarrassed about when it goes wrong during live stuff till you get an approach that works for you down.

Yeah bass players have to dig on drummer its the law .....
The Drummer I'm jamming with now is great too ... one of the best I've played with in fact .... makes my life easier.... he actually listens to me & the band ... imagine that.
My feet seem to grow huge at gigs. Pedal activation that works 30 times in a row at rehearsal or when I am practicing at home somehow fails on the gig - and I inadvertently turn click two pedals at once. At least in a club I can tell immediately what is on that should be off! Played outside at a friend's birthday party yesterday during the day and so many of my pedals' LEDs are useless in broad daylight.
The only failing of the TAFM as far as I am concerned, is that little green activation LED up in the corner. I am just not that clever. Big, bright, blue, and right above or below the footswitch is my speed. Durrr, ayep.

Got the Orbital back from SA.
Nothing wrong with it apparently, seems to work fine.
Go figure.
I guess it was worth the $12 shipping to get the firmware updated, I guess, I have no idea what the update did..
Just got a Proton v.2 in too.
I like it, but still need time to determine if it'll kick the Bottom Feeder off the board or not.
Gonna try it at 18v tomorrow maybe.
I'm definetely gonna change things around a bit, like take the filter out of the loop and put it in serial with everything else.
This way I can get the Hyperdrive pushing into it too.
Keeping the Hummingbird in the loop with the Green Muff though.
That combo, paralleled with the Hyperdrive, is just too badass to mess with.

I'm interested how you find the Proton at 18V. I did not find too much difference between 9 and 18, but I also have not switched back to 9 to really see if I'd notice.
