Completely agree. I love Temple Audio, the concept they use is great and the accessories that you can customize your board with are just fantastic. OTOH, unless you plan to put together a pedalboard, and NEVER change any pedals, the plates just end up being a huge PITA. At one point, my guitar player and I were both using Temple boards, and neither of us were using the plates.
I still have my Temple board. It's sitting in it's case on a shelf in my studio, waiting for me to see if I can cannibalize any of the parts for something else. That soft case was an issue, too...
Nice board! I have the BassBlaster as well, and I think it's great, but I've been curious about the Black Vehicle too. How different are they? How would you compare them?
Thanks! If I were choosing one to keep, it would be the Black Vehicle. The BV is very touch sensitive and I use it as an always on tone sweetener and light drive that doesn't really break up until I dig in. To me it sounds fatter and clearer than the BB. I find the BB a bit dark and when I bring in more highs to try and balance it out it gets things get a bit too clanky. Haven't found my sweet spot with it yet, need to do some more experimenting. Overall I think they are pretty different, with the BV being much more flexible. Hope that is helpful.

It's looking like replacing the CaliCB for sure, valve compression is really nice. And after spending some time on the weekend futzing with various combos I'm real happy with the Effectrode into the Archetype rack pre. Lovely clear and full sound.
Thank you! Reverb does "Black Friday" releases of blacked out pedals, so I sold a few things, and tracked down the ones that I wanted, including many from 2019!
I've been playing for over 30 years, and have been on here a long time. I'm getting back into pedals, and it seems like people are loving Broughton, and I had never really heard of them.
Also, what is the draw to the high pass and low pass filters?? I'm missing the point of that.

Where do you get the little jobbies that you zip-tied the cables with on the underneath of your board?
I got mine from Menards in the electrical aisle. You'll find them at any similar store.

I mean the point is they do just about everything.
General consensus is that they are great for pitch, delay, and reverb, not as good for modulation, synth, and dirt. Although I think there are at least a few good sounds to be found in those latter categories.

Amazon. Took someone's advice online and got marine grade ones, which apparently hold up longer. Not very expensinve, and worth every penny!
