G'day All,

Updated board - added the M5 which replaced an EBS Octabass and Boss CEB-3.

Very impressed - octaver sounds, pitch shifting, choruses and delays are very usable - haven't dug much deeper yet.

And M5 Suboctave Fuzz into Proton gives some very funky synth tones - nice!

Minor changes here, sorry about the crappy Iphone pic:

Swapped out the Polish Love for a McSpunkle And Aardvarks! and the flanger for my trusty looper.

Oh, and the photo theremin as well. Which is a MUTHA when it comes to making noise. Theremin into year 4545 into delay into looper? Sweet.

Now to convince myself I rreeaallyy dont need a Xerograph....or a Strymon Timeline :crying:

It's interesting. I feel like I am seeing more and more and more BBE Opto Stomps lately. They really seem to have caught on. I love mine.

I had one for over a year and liked it fine but 2 things made me switch, got a Durham Sex Drive in a trade and absolutely loved it and when going with a smaller board the OptoStomp takes up too much space. So off to a new home it went.

MaRquIem for a Dream (2nd. most depressing movie. EVAH) - i'm a HUGE fan of SS/BS stuff. HUGE. i had a Derty Word OD when they first came out. very cool pedal. first version the difference between "Blown Speaker Mode" on and off was pretty subtle. Brian did some tweaks to it, and it was WAY better. it ended up not being what i was looking for in an OD, but i see what he's doin', and i LIKE it. it's a nasty (in the best way possible), NASTY thing.
I'm looking for something that can do the subtle thing really well and just crunch up front and then i can just send it over the top. How subtle can you make it? Also, it has to work for bass and guitar....damn i'm picky. BTW I found a new great gnome tone every single day and I picked that bad boy up off of ebay for 140

I loves my Gnome. Do you have the feedback and oscillation switches on the side above the trimmers? I found some really cool synth sounds messing with the gain and tone knobs with both of those switches activated. I've been messing with the octave up and trying different diode combinations a lot lately too. I've had this thing for months and I'm still finding new sounds with it.

ElectraPheonix,

I'd say a big Yes to the Xerograph, as it's a fantastic Filter.
Being a Lowpass Filter with Envelope Follower, it is inherently synth like.
Adding Fuzz, Octave and heavy Compression can all help in the synth like journey.

Awesome. I was looking at the Digitech BSW but I need something that can do more than that and the Xerograph looked like it was several useful things all rolled into one. Thanks very much for the suggestions, I have two great fuzz pedals that I'd like to try with the Xerograph.

I think maybe this is the place to ask, and it can't hurt to try.

I've been thinking of picking up a BBE Sonic Stomp lately, but the footprint is just too big for the compact pedal board I'm building.

Can anyone suggest a comparable pedal but in a smaller box like an MXR pedal? Possibly (I know its a stretch) a clone...?

Thanks...

Mine doesn't actually, I kinda am thinking of asking Mcspunckle if he would finish it off and trick it out and make it the "deluxe" version, plus some of the pots are a bit scratchy. ive been doing these crazy over the top fuzz tones and gating them off so it goes from silence to werewolves.

Also, Behndy-
What can you compare the QF2 to? I'd also have trouble choosing between the bass and guitar one...(don't hate me). :hiding:
