Question does anyone use a foldable wagon to transport equipment

I often use a small foldable 2-wheeler for relatively short jaunts from the car into a building for 2-cabs. Everything I else I hand-carry provided. And if I'm able to load/unload next to the building, I just hand carry everything (good exercise!).

For those times when the load-in/out area is down-yonder I bring the On-Stage UTC5500 cart. It's great at carrying everything I need (It's also great for the rest of the band as well!). Don't forget to use longer bungee cords! While it does fold down for a smaller footprint, it still takes up some some room in a vehicle. Also it weighs 35-lbs.

The UTC5500 works well off pavement (big tires!). However, keep in mind with any cart, the more stuff you put on it, it may require another individual to help push/pull it.

The equipment in comparatively light weight but again the trips it takes to move it prompt me to want a simpler solution.

1st has anyone used anything like this cart- I am just referencing a picture not necessarily this model and yes this would still involve more than one trip for the equipment described

I am also considering something like the Rock n Roller
Rock N Roller R11G All-Terrain 8-in-1 Multi-Cart with Ground Glider Casters

I would rather buy this product only once and get the best solution.

I have used a cart like that, but for small gigs. It works well, but doesn't carry that muck. I was carrying a Fender Rumble 500 combo, mic stand, cab kick back stand, gig bag with paraphernalia, and a bass. That filled it up. I would say volume will be more your problem than weight.

Thanks SemiDriven… that’s right up the alley… agreed for a lot of gigs a decent hand cart works well but when I need to hoof it a ways, this would be an excellent option. I see they have a nice flat cart tray as an option. That’s a plus.

Sides fold up like a wagon, or down to carry something wider. Large inflatable tires, which I often see flat, so that may need to be addressed to guarantee reliability.

To the header question, not at the moment. When I was hauling my outdoor concert rig around, two 210 cabs, a rack, and gig bag, it was about 170 lbs of gear, and yes a cart was needed.

Now most of my gigs are medium sized to larger indoor types with FOH support, so that much fire power is not needs. At the moment, one 210 cab (about 50 lbs), a WD-800 and my gig bag, transport is much easier.

I have one just like the OP. It’s pretty sturdy, still going strong after 2 years. It holds a 112 cab, class D head, seat/stand, bass, gig bag, backpack. Not so great for snow, mud or sand, for sure. Mic stands are a pain, but can be done ok.
