I've been very happy with the B1. My signal chain: SD Systems LCM 100 mic, Demeter preamp, Stewart World 1.2, Acme B1. I find it amazing that such a small box can put out what it does. Very clean and uncolored sound.

Re: Acme B1
I play 3 regular gigs a week with either a 62 PBass w/passive Bartolini or a Christopher URB with Fishman Full Circle. On 2 of the gigs, other bassists use my rig for a Jam session after my set so the rig must support EB & URB. Club sizes are small to medium. Small enough that I don't need to feed a PA. My head is Clarus 2 channel w/verb.
I'd read about Acme Low B1 and found a guy on Ebay who was selling a pair. I already owned a Low B2 and I liked it even though I never had the right rig to feed it's powerhungry self. Plus the B2 isn't a lightweight cab (+-55lbs.). I bought both B1's having never heard them. I wasn't disappointed.
Initially I used both at gigs. 2 x 4ohm's into my 2ohm Clarus was pretty nice. Together they sounded clear, natural, not colored. Product is sturdy, manageable weight. After a while I stopped bringing both. I've been gigging for months now with just 1 cab and never does the bass get lost in the sauce.
There's even been times when we needed a 2nd vocal mike input, or when the PA died and I've used my Clarus/Acme combo for vocals in one channel and bass in the other. The vocals sounded crystal clear with depth, definition and headroom coming out a single B1.
Not sure if my lengthy reply was helpful.
Bottom line: I'm thrilled to have found a rig that's super-versatile, small and of excellent long-lasting quality. A one-trip rig that is consistently good enough to allow me to focus on playing music and not thinking about gear - which *can* be a trap.
