They failed to mention that the Ben Fold's Five has a bass player and no guitar player.

Of course, the White Stripes are so talented that they don't need a bass player.Ever heard their guitar riffs-so technical!
  8. Well yeah they(White Stripes) are talented...Jack White made #17 on Rolling Stones best guitarist ever list. And we all know that RS knows what they are talking about.

Those bands suck. Yep, I said it. (actually the white stripes have a couple of good tunes).

edit, you can find any combination of any instrument, some bass featured bands sans guitar like Morphine, Man, Me Infecto, etc. who cares. Damn liberal media... ;)

rofl. what a narrow minded article. Two bands that are mildly popular dont have a bassist! woah! thats it, the bass is passé!

dude, that band lightning bolt is absolutely insane, and so are their fans. I kinda like the music. Cool vibe. A bit repetetive, but I like electronica. So I am used to that.

The only Rolling Stone I ever bought. after looking at the list I said "Screw you! I'm never buying one again and wll never listen to what they have to say"
  18. Hey atleast Johnny Ramone got his recognition with his number 16 spot

They did put Jimmy Page in the top ten (#9) so there is atleast that which I agree with...
