Real or Fake ?

Unfortunately in this day and age, the cynical and snarky remarks people can make with near anonymity using non-descript usernames from behind their keyboard has made the internet a sad reflection of how people treat each other.

Perhaps even sadder is that most people won’t either recognize or - worse - acknowledge what they’re doing.

Well. Thanks . I guess. For your very clear and concise explanation in such great detail.

closed for him. Mike Vee gave a concise, informed conclusion with no details at all and it frustrated our OP. He doesn't realize it's a style used by many people of a certain age/ perhaps gender. (I should not generalize but it's fun) The more they say the dumber they feel, so they leave it to one word conclusions. Or two words with the word "definately" or "totally" included. But it's OK! Later on and above there were plenty of details. OP got frustrated and disappointed by his fake, maybe.

I try to live in a glass-half-full world, so in my mind OP is just an inexperienced bassist and not some scammer hoping to see if they could pass off a fake. OP's reaction to the assessment aligns with that, as I would expect a scammer to not even bother with a reply.

But @BassBrass hits a point: Generational communication styles are VERY different! I came from a generation where long-form communication and abundant detail were the norm, but that's not well received by folks who want to be fed a tidy one-sentence summary without all the detail or critical thinking. I don't blame the age difference: I think technology and how new adults are immersed in summary-culture media has changed how we communicate and process information.

I'm a old guy but I would just say, "Get that offa my lawn."

It seems we also come from a generation where if you were being mocked and talked down to that it was expected that we "tough it out" and just accept it. People today won't tolerate that. After the first few jabs it gets a bit heavy handed and the jokes are never as funny as people think they are. IMO.

Like others have already pointed out, everything about this bass is fake.

I honestly don't understand what we're looking at here. Does it have a short scale neck? I ask because if that's a long scale neck I don't see how this bass can possibly be intonated with the bridge in that position. If the neck is long scale you will probably need to move the bridge to make this into an actual musical instrument. If it's a short scale neck on a (fake) P-bass body it MIGHT be usable as it is. But a Fender? Absolutely not.

I'm no Fender expert..but.....that square truss rod access......?

Oh, and welcome to TB!

Super ultra fake, get your money back
