I've not seen one of these in person, but I've spoken to those who have, and while they are nice cases, and likely worth what you pay, they won't touch a Slim or Portabag in quality.

I must admit that I haven't layed hands on the Incase
bag, (bag?) but I did see the Pro Tec Contego at NAMM.
I thought it was great. Very good storage too. Its just that
type of bag always seems like I have a surf board on my back.
I'm going to try the Access stage 5 bag next. I guess this is
my once every six or seven year bag buying spree.
The idea of puttting my head (Focus) and everything else I
need in the backpack and top pouch, and speaker box in
one hand, (Epi UL210 or UL112) is a very attractive load in.

Quality and protection issues aside the basic appearance of all these brands I suppose deserves a little mention.
I have a preference for a quiet, high quality luggage look, as opposed to the sportiness of Ritter or the utilitarian appearance of the Ibanez.
Just one more reason I have chosen the Incase or Sadowsky.

I just bought one of these from The LowEnd Bass shop.:
It's an all leather double bass bag Brian has custom made for his shop.
Super heavy duty Padding. The double bag is $250.00.
He also makes a single bag for $175.00:

I think they stopped offering them. Some company stole the design as their own and Brian got fed up with it all...something like that.
I think it's earlier in this thread, but I recall the company that was making them for him, decided to start selling them direct, which was in violation of an agreement they had, because the design of the bags was partly (or maybe even wholly) owned by him. So to answer the question, yeah, I think you can still get them, but not from Brian (understandably). You might want to also think twice about patronizing the company.

Actually really really nice bags- inCase on a budget indeed!
But a great bag. Better than it's price IMO.
Had to get rid of it with a trade though.
Liked it a lot- might get another.
I'm a rectangular hard shell case kind of guy. I hate gig bags & those form fitted plastic cases.

handmade in Bolivia for a good number of years... they made bags for some retailers and still make bags for a good many different types of instruments.
It was a great company to deal with and the bag is amazing.... I'll be having another custom double made in the future to fit a pair of explorer basses.

I have the single version of the access bag.
Better than a normal bag in terms of padding and how they hold their shape with a bass in it.
Decient bag.
No ides how the double is though.
A close substitute to Reunion Blues (although the leather is not as stiff) are the Levy's Leathers. There is a big saddle bag on the front & a pocket up top. Definitely enough for extra strings, a power strip, a couple of cables, batteries, gum, tuner, tool case, multitool, etc. I use this one & shuffle all my bases in & out of it.

I have an access stage 5 bag that i think is great. it is as strong as the incase gig bags my friends use, which are as tough as they come. im sure the stage 3 is just as strong.
That sounds pretty nice.
But how much padding does the Stage 5 have? The pictures for the stage 3 make it look like my bass would flop around in there....
I have been harassing Brian for over a year now about getting a Low End double bag. He is currently working with a new company to produce a new Low End bag. No details, but I trust that it will be awesome.
