Recommend a gig bag or case?

If you're talking about the "Zero-G" case (not really a gig bag), I have one and don't like it. They put the handle in the middle and it doesn't balance AT ALL when carrying it. Good protector, but horrible ergonomics.

My top choice right now is the Sadowsky. ... So you guys think the Sadowsky bags are worth the price?

Without a doubt. I only wish they were available unlogo'd, but to be honest, I think the new inCase Slim is just as good, so if you don't mind the extra $10...

I had one of these: it was a joke. With only 2 months of light use, the bag was literally falling apart at the seams. In addition, the handle was ripping away from the body.

Is it? haha... thanks! I really like what everyone is saying about the Sadowsky bags, but I *never* gig without a backup, so I'm really looking for a double bag. I'd like to spend less if possible, but if the right bag is $200, well, quality is remembered long after price is forgotten :)

So, InCase DUB, Undercover double-bag?.... as this point, they all seem pretty similar. I've never used a double-bag before... Is that a good solution for carrying two basses? Is it ridiculously heavy?

Thanks Vic :) I don't remember where I first heard that, but it's stuck with me. You gotta keep in mind, though, that high price does not equal quality. Something else that's stuck with me is my freshman year Consumer & Family Economics prof's definition of "value" as "the balance between price and quality." Those leather bags look awesome, but I doubt they're a good value. Even if they last fifteen years instead of ten (for the Moordians etc), it's just silly to pay $385 + shipping for a *gig-bag*... my Korean-made MTD Artist, the one I started this thread about (looking for a gig bag) cost that much!

Ok. I've had my new Mooradian gig bag for about 5 gigs.
The bag is as nice as any I've seen. I wish Mooradian
would update the site with a new picture. Very impressive.
Even though I've known about the build quailty of their
bags, I always wanted more storage than one big pocket.
This bag has three pockets that are spread over the front
of the bag, not stacked on top of each other. It also has
about 13in. of 1in padding on each backpack style strap.
If I had a clue how to post pictures, I would (help Wilbyman)
I don't think this bag is so much better than other "pro"
bags, but its very well layed out and functional, although
this is expected from a company who's been doing this for
20+ years.

Levy´s Leather, CM series I think, it is the best one i have ever tried. I have the double version, and when I´m not carrying two basses I can store a few pedals, papers and cables in that slot.
Whatever you do, don´t get a rockbag... I´ve had four and they all broke.
