Recommend a Sweetwater Sales Engineer?

Patrick Weaver. Asked me how I wanted to be communicated with early on and has honored that. Knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and all around good human. Also spent a bunch of time talking through a setup resulting in the best playing bass I own.

here is a concept for the op. Do your research and ask questions here. Then goto sweetie and get the best price as possible. Then go on reverb and find 10 other stores who have your item. Email them or call them direct and get a lower price for buying direct and ask if they charge tax to your state. They all provide the same service and return policy and most actually check and do a setup. I promise you will be getting a lower price and be happier.

Is that really a thing? I live in New York which started taxing online purchases a few years ago. Do retailers in other states have a choice to not charge sales tax?

Mine, over the past 10 years, have been:

Karl Long
Miguel Quiñones
Rob Amaral

All have been OK, though there have been some major F-ups, not all of which ever got resolved.

I never asked any of them a thing on a technical level, and I'm not sure I ever would ask things like that of a salesperson. People who want to sell you something are some of the LAST people who you want to be asking about technical things, or other matters that will help you make a purchasing decision. To me, salespeople are nothing but the folks you are required to deal with in order to hash out deals. I don't ever turn to them for product information.

Maybe I’m way off here, but I don’t think even one sales engineer has been mentioned twice yet. Mine hasn’t even come up.

There were a few.

Chris Kress is solid.

Aside from that, I am fascinated by how many sales people they have! Is someone keeping a tally?

Lol. I was thinking the same thing! Mine's Kyle. I was JUST wondering the other day if it was just him and the owner sitting in a little warehouse office up there in Indiana...!

I recently worked with Tiberius Huiu. He was an outstanding help. He's a drummer and his advice for getting a kit together for my home studio was invaluable. A real pleasure to deal with. Plus his name is Tiberius, so he gets major points from this Star Trek nerd. Here's his info:
