Recommend a Sweetwater Sales Engineer?

I’ve never needed the services of any person, but the things I’ve bought aren’t expensive. I don’t need to chat with a sales guy to order a set of strings or a cable. I actually actively avoid talking to sales people. I like going to the website and clicking “buy now” lol

With sweetwater, you can actually get discounts below their web price by asking/working with a rep. If you buy in quantity and/or buy bulk cables/supplies you can get even better deals. When I put together our band's IEM setup, I saved more than several hundred dollars on their listed prices.

Don’t they have girls working there? It’s like a sausage fest in here. If you don’t know the last name is he really your guy? If he didn’t ask you what your dogs name is, then he isn’t your guy

what makes your guy your guy? Cause you bought something from him? Or is he the kind of guy you would invite to your house for a bbq? You know they work on commission right?

here is a concept for the op. Do your research and ask questions here. Then goto sweetie and get the best price as possible. Then go on reverb and find 10 other stores who have your item. Email them or call them direct and get a lower price for buying direct and ask if they charge tax to your state. They all provide the same service and return policy and most actually check and do a setup. I promise you will be getting a lower price and be happier.

Still don't like Sweetwater, do we?

tell me more about your sausage guy

Nich Magnani is my guy. Info is always accurate. Very accessible and gets back to me quickly. Has saved me money with specials. Never overbearing and stays in touch without being bothersome. Great guy. Highly recommend him.

Apparently "my guy" isn't really a thing, I feel like I've had several.

That said, I can't tell you one time any of them have actually been helpful. It certainly didn't stop them from sending instruments with twisted necks or other obvious problems.

I don’t really remember the name of the guy I spoke with the only time I’ve called to place an order. Bought a nice acoustic guitar and a HSC, and asked the “engineer” if they could put the guitar in the case to ship. “Sure, no problem” he says. A few days later, TWO large boxes show up, one with the guitar, one with the case! After that, I didn’t really care about having my own personal “sales engineer”. The guitar was fine, and is one of my favorites, and the price was good, so I just order online anymore.
