DI mostly. Didn't think it could be used as a pre.
I think he was getting at the fact that the REDDI is a DI and the Monique is a preamp/DI and wondering how big a deal the preamp function is to you.

My days if lending friends gear is over. Nobody takes care of your gear like you. The last time I lent a friend of mine my amp, it came back with scratches and nicks, and of course he didn't know how it got there, and assumed they were there when he got it from me. Then, he liked what he heard so much, he kept calling me to use it again. Finally I had to put an end to it, which strained our relationship.
Hey....can a Reddi be used between an amp and foh?Would it make enough of a difference to maybe purchase one?Just curious.....thanks
Curious if there are any REDDI owners who have had a chance to compare the REDDI to a Monique? I am torn.
I suppose you could if your amp has a line out. Won't do speaker level DI, but doesn't need to. Would it make enough of a difference? It did for me but I haven't tried it with an amp's line out yet to see how much it steps on the sound of the REDDI.Hey....can a Reddi be used between an amp and foh?Would it make enough of a difference to maybe purchase one?Just curious.....thanks

Indeed a tough choice. The Monique is quite cool if you need tone shaping capability in the PA. Neither of them put the affected tone into your rig, though. The REDDI does a simple line through while the Monique has a tube-powered preamp with no output transformer for your rig and saves the OT for the PA. Not sure if you were wanting the OT powered signal in your rig, but while the line out to the rig in the Monique would be a little more deluxe than the REDDI's, it's not what the PA gets.Makes sense. Guess I would like it be both so the Monique is probably the better choice for me to spite the fact that most here seem to prefer the Reddi for DI. Tough choice.
