REDDI Tube DI Mega-thread-II

Just picked up a great bag for my REDDI.

It's the medium sized [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]. It's fairly protective (not as good as a hard case but waaaay better than most soft ones), well built and is compact to carry but with enough room for a tuner and cables. For my purposes knocking around town I couldn't have done much better with a custom design.

I'm over due to pick up a SKB or equivalent for me REDDI.

I do to much traveling with mine.

What else are folks using for traveling with there REDDIs?

Peter! Rumor has it that you'll be visiting Sweetwater tomorrow. I'm an employee, and a huge REDDI/A Designs fan, so I'll have to stop by and say Hi! :)

Andrew!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kick a$$ Bass and GREAT seeing you!
That was the best time at SW I have ever had anywhere.
That was a special trip for me.
It seemed that EVERYONE got what we were talking about.
But it was also a lot of help from YOU.

Thank YOU!

I'm strongly considering getting a REDDI. I just have one question... How do you guys silently tune when plugged straight into the DI? I use a Genz-Benz ShuttleMAX 9.2 amp, and I use the built in XLR-out. I use the tuner output into my rack-mounted Korg DTR-1000 tuner. So I'm able to mute the amp and silently tune. I'm just curious how you guys silently tune with the REDDI.

I use a little form fitting Tuki cover for mine and I throw it into my cord bag for local stuff, and I throw it into a carry-on bag for fly dates. Occasionally I get a TSA agent asking me what it is, but so far no confiscations ;)

I use my peterson tuner first inline... REDDI.... then split to my amp.. If no amp and its an IEM gig or a session gig, then its just my Bass> Peterson> REDDI> XLR..

Dear all,

I'm new to this thread and this is my first post here but I have been following your thread religiously for about a month or so.

I have to thank you all for the very insightful and useful information and for the lively and interesting discussions.

Now I have a set-up question and I hope you guys can help me out here as I'm not so technical even though I have a BSc somewhere in storage. I have also asked someone from Pete's Place but i guess he hasn't received my email yet.

I have been using the Lehle RMI Basswitch together with my other pedals in one channel for my electric bass and the other channel for my double bass w/o pedals.

Now I'm wondering how do I set-up with my new REDDI (once it gets here) and my Basswitch in the following situations:

1. Electric bass only (roughly 50% of the time)
2. Double bass only (25%)
3. Electric bass and double bass concurrently (25%).

These days I have been using my Monique preamp from Jule Amps together with the Minnie 800D amp from Demeter with an old Epifani UL3x10 cab or an old Acme Low B2 cab that I had lying around idle.

Regards,
Sbabbaro.

I forgot to mention that maybe this question has been posted here before but as I said I'm new here so I wouldn't know and don't have the time to go back to the earlier threads to check.

Sorry about that guys.
Cheers,
S.
