REDDI Tube DI Mega-thread-II

I double, and I don't have the Bassswitch, but I put each bass in a side of my ABY pedal (upright gets an EQ pedal by itself before it hits the ABY), then out to my electric's pedal, then tuner goes last and out to the REDDI.

The perplexing thing here is you play electric and upright at the same time?

I have both the REDDI and the BassWitch. The Basswitch is the heart and brain of my pedalboard as it switches my effects and levels my basses.
From the Line Out of the Basswitch my signal goes to the REDDI. Simple as that :)

I'm about to do the same and add the Basswitch as the basic control center on my board.

I like your configuration.

Sorry about that Jimmy and thanks a lot for your reply. I'm trying my best here as English is not my first language. What I meant was roughly 25% of the gigs that I play I use both the DB and electric bass at the same gig not concurrently.

Just to clarify: The two sepparate DIs are for the Roland's GR-55 output...

Wow, either I reduced it too far or that camera doesn't do grillcloth all that well. It doesn't look nearly as bad in the original shots as it does here, but it's got a little swirly to it. I shot it at giant file size and reduced it for posting. But yep, that's what I got ;) It came with a good bundle of extras so I went with it instead of a more expensive one.

Happy Easter Monday to all those who celebrate.

I would like to thank RocketMusic, JimmyM, JCRob, Gillento (I appreciate the photo, it made things clearer for me), basswave, Peter M. (via email) and all others for their input and suggestions.

I'm hoping to receive my REDDI this week after which I will try out your suggestions with various amps that I have and report back.

Man :mad: I have always wanted a black/black maple P. Thanks for giving me gas pains again, thought I got past this a few months ago :eyebrow::D

On another note, that is the best way to get pics of the REDDI. I had to put a small piece of black tape over the blue light because I was blinding people in the audience. The light still shows above and below the tape but has reduced the brain burning level a tad :)

Yeah, I thought I was over GAS too until I saw that one being sold. Never thought about getting a black bass until a few years ago when I bought a 79. Hated the pickup and prefer the flatter necks of today, so I sold it, but man, I looked so good with it that I just had to get another one eventually ;)

LOL! Brain-burning level. Can't say I ever dug blue LED's but I used to laugh at people who were offended by the brightness of blue LED's until I got this puppy. Now I totally get it. By far the brightest blue LED I've ever seen, and the edict came down...don't point it at the crowd ;) But at this point, I love it...it's part of the REDDI's charm now.

I actually saw a lady sitting in the front one night holding her hand up to block the beam whenever she watched us :p Luckily it was a bar gig and she spent most of her time working the meat market. I am sure the REDDI tone put her in the mood for some dating! Could be a new marketing angle ;)

Sometimes yes. I will often take a small cab and run just loud enough for personal monitoring and REDDI covers room. I have had a few shows on tight stages where I know I will be directely next to a main and will just monitor there with REDDI only. I bought it for recording purposes, and I know there are cheaper and very exceptable ways to DI without taking the REDDI - but gosh darn it I really like the way it sounds and you only live once, so I take and I enjoy it. :hyper:
