Their reason was that since I'm returning it due to "remorse" they are not refunding it all. I'm guessing it's remorse since I didn't want to wait for them to order in another unit, then ship it to me.

I agree with all the comments lauding "Fred's" (I better stop doing that, it might stick) outstanding CS. Rarely have I had the pleasure of dealing with a manufacturer who is that loyal to his customers. Kudos, Peter!

Guess you're just not a fan of big, warm, electrifying bass tone, and you're more of a fan of having the high notes lose all their might.

Am I correct in assuming that the thru line from the REDDI will NOT act like a tube preamp in front of a power amp?

I'm waiting a tube front end... Could the REDDI do this into my amp? I know it does thru the XLR out...
