REDDI Tube DI Mega-thread-III

image.jpeg

There's no place like home but Kansas can get pretty cold in the winter. Who wouldn't want to tour in a warmer climate. Somewhere with lots of trees.

I've heard here splitting the REDDI output between FOH & amp takes away some of the goodness. Has anyone here done a split on xlr output between FOH & a monitor mix? Does that cause any impedance/loading issues on signal? It would be nice to have control of bass level in my ears of sweet reddiness.
That seems to work out better to do that.

I know.. My Political posts are 100% 180 degrees out of phase with his... I know he and I get on each others nerves.. Somehow we have not deleted each other yet.. hahah

I absolutely love Lee and respect his playing, but I couldn't take his constant political posts hitting my FB news feed, it's to bad I miss all these pics.

Looks like the two channel version is shipping if they haven't already.

Has anyone considered running the thru from one to the input of the other? Would potentially give you that second signal to run to a stage rig.

Good idea? Bad idea?
It might. You'd likely still have to run it into the front end of your amp, though, as even though it can work with a handful of specific power amps, it's not really a preamp.

For kicks I ran the Reddi directly into my acoustic image head. The signal is super hot. I guess it's to much to run into the front end. I should have tried the effects return, maybe later.

The Tuki soft case is working well for me the last couple of years carrying it with all my cables and other peripheral crap in a Mono pedalboard bag. When I need hard case protection the Mono gets replaced by a Pelican Cases 1510 carry-on size hard case. Only way I could justify the bulk, expense and max level of protection you'd get with a purpose built hard case for the REDDI is if someone else was regularly handling it. Since that ain't happening......
