An engineer tried the summit on a session.. sounded very good.... but we both decided the REDDI was more betterer-est. I dont know wht people always say it sounds like a mic;ed amp.. yeah i guess if you really stretch your imagination it can appear like that.. It is huge sounding with great bottom. thick and juicy.. yet retains all of the clarity.. for 4 string , 5 string and other multi string basses...
I really dislike it when people compare it to a mic'd amp because the first thing that most users would think of is that it starts rolls off at about 3k like a speaker... Which it does not..

Hey guys! I use my REDDI on every session and live gig.

I just finished an EP for a band called Scarlett. It's kinda like if Miranda Lambert did an album with the Foo Fighters.

You can hear the tracks here: Invalid Link Removed

I used my Lakland 55-60CS with the REDDI.

Sounds great!
Very warm and fat!

Really like the vintage thump of the bass and the band sounds very very good. I like the nice bass fills in “You only live once”, you can really feel the REDDI in there.

First I want to thank Peter and Lisa Montessi and A-Design for great products.
I just picked this up at NAMM... and experimenting with it before a gig later this week.
This is really a transparent sounding compressor from what i have experienced so far! And is one of the other products from the REDDI creator.

Most likely with the Averson Headphone amp.. The averson is a high dollar ,highly pristine and accurate audiophile stereo headphone amp . A-Design had a few at their booth to demo the Preamps etc... Way out of my price range.. But possibly the best that money can buy..

As I was looking at NAMM 2012 footage, I thought I saw a REDDI DI at the MTD booth. I would love to know how they were using it at the booth, since there was no PA system.

Very well done. I loved your tone; warm and phat. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice! The bass is nice and upfront in the mix, I like your engineer!!

Hi REDDI lovers..... I just got this post card from my friend and wanted to share it with you... REDDI ( A-Design / Peter Montessi ) will be at Jimmy's "Alleva Coppolo" BASSACRE again this year... . I am going to try and make it there this year but A gig came up.. Im still waiting on deposit , so we will see if i can make it...
I think REDDI will have all their preamps, Compressors, and EQ units to show.. I just got the BAC500 unit for my home studio.. I think i posted that somewhere here the other day...
Anyway, I wanted to spread the word in case anyone wants to see what great basses sound like through the REDDI, live and in person...
Here is an image or the postcard that i just got.If I make it there, please say hi!
George from F-Bass will be there as well as Aguilar and Mike Tobias from MTD.. It seems to get bigger every year.
I hope Peter sees this too....

I hope you dig it.... Really a unique box... ! and smooth as silk but with authority!!

Just picked up a REDDI last week from a fellow TB'er. Will be sending it FOH tonight and tracking with it later next week. Played with it for a few minutes when it arrived. I'm liking what I'm hearing!

During sound check for this evenings gig, I ran into trouble with my REDDI... seems it both had a hum problem and also managed to grab a local radio signal and send it through the monitors on the stage. I tried everything to alleviate the problem (swapping cables, modifying the signal chain, trying a different power source, etc) but no such luck. Eventually had to remove it from the signal chain and just use the DI from my Genz Benz Shuttle 9.2, which cleared up all offending issues. So it will be gig on without the REDDI. Bummer... I'm at a loss... any thoughts?

A bad tube is my best guess.
I had the same trouble with mine. After swapping the 6NI-P tube everything was fine.
That is why I am carrying mine in its Peli case all the time...
