So i bought a REDDI, it has become a desert island item for me. Never leave home without it when tracking. I had a rehearsal at my home studio and here is the setup. Allen Heath ZED Mixer into a simple MP3 recorder. So there is no processing other than the touch of reverb added to each instrument from the ZED. The Roland TD20 Drums and Nord Stage EX are running stereo to the board. Vocal Mic is running to a Joe Meek Mic Pre and into the Mixer. The guitar is running to a POD XLT and into mixer in stereo. The p bass is running into the REDDI and into the Mixer. I used a Boss Compressor Pedal before the reddi to tame things a tad. Here are the results. Once again these are live recordings no dubs or punches.

REDDI more agressive bass sound

I wonder, how does REDDI compared against DHA VT1? Don't know whether this is a suitable comparison.

Im eyeing these two boxes (REDDI and DHA-VT1-EQ) and looking for some opinions. I prefer one box to rule em all (all rounder; great in recording and easy to use in live/stage situation). I somewhat prefer the DHA as it has quite number of feat. EQ, headphone out and etc...

For those interested REDDI users here are a few new tracks hot off the platter. Same set up as before. All live rehearsal recordings peformed in my livingroom :) Vocals, Keys, Vdrums into H&K Mixer into MP3 recorder. No computer used. All live no dubs so flubs are kept as recorded.

3 new tracks in this link.

Gotta keep this thread alive!

Here's a recent sound clip I did recording direct through my REDDI into an M-Audio FastTrack-Ultra-8R USB interface into Sonar X1. The bass is my personal Roscoe Century Signature V affectionately known as "King Koa".

There are three tracks of bass (the palm-muted bass line, the chords & the melody/lead) plus some drums I programmed using Session Drummer 3 within Sonar X1.

The REDDI is really my go-to DI now for recording all sorts of basses for my store's website. I've yet to run across a bass where the REDDI didn't help make it sound beautiful.
