Reiner Amplification Gasoline Bass Overdrive

Good! There are a lot of other variables that can introduce noise, but the pedal itself is very, very quiet. Dirt pedals are tough - there are so many other factors that you never know until you try one with your rig, but I’m happy with how it turned out. I’ve been working on another variant which Ken is going to check out this weekend, but I don’t plan to get back into the pedal game.

I missed mine too. Not because I sold it, but because I can't always use pedals, and when I do I rotate them from a stable of... I dunno, a dozen and a half dirt pedals. Gasoline is easily in my top five! In fact I brought out a trio of Top 5 pedals last Saturday. Gasoline and MBD1 go together like peanut butter and chocolate. I added B7K on a few songs for a bit of extra bite. But the Gasoline works great all by itself, I soloed it for a bunch of songs.

Hi Matt,

I had fun doing the pedals but I doubt I’ll delve back into them again. I do have a bunch of stuff on the amp/cab side of things which I’ll pick back up eventually. I just accepted a new job in Huntsville and we actually just signed a contract to build a new home this past weekend, so 2021 will be pretty much consumed with relocation. Upside is that I am planning a badass new workshop, and the close proximity to Nashville will be a good thing. :)

Yes, congratulations! I know many will struggle to understand, but there is more to life than all music all the time.

I have just been missing my old Gasoline... :-)

I did.

@JGR gave me the same advice he gave Matt Dean a few weeks ago, but I had been looking for a long time. Had immediate buyers remorse because I had just purchased another fine bass OD - The Rusty Box.

That was until I plugged it in.
(And coincidentally, this pedal is so much up my alley as a musclecar lover, lol - if I run 'er lean too long do I have to get a valve job on it???)

That sounds about right, I think the first batch was five, second was ten, so probably 15 at the most.

I certainly hadn't forgotten about my Gasoline pedal, it's been in rotation at home, but I realized it had been too long since I gigged it, so earlier today I went Full Reiner: pedal, amp, and cabs.

I was playing with a rootsy/bluesy/country band, and it was super easy to dial in phatness and warmth, with harmonic richness coming from both pedal and amp. On that note, I did use the Rich setting on the pedal! It would have been plenty even if I'd been using a more sterile amp.
