Yes, yes, yes! The Gasoline, Pork Loin and D800+ make a wonderful combination indeed. I can honestly say that I have zero desire to try anything else at this point in time. Bummer that I have to let the Model feT go though. Would have liked to keep ahold of it, well, just because. It definitely plays extremely well with the Gas. Kitchen remodel forces sell

FYI... I have decided that I am not a collector and that Gasoline #4 deserves to be released back into the wild. see classifies.

I know... but I’m more a phlipper than a collector. The Gasoline is awesome, but it’s not on my board and I’d like to give someone else a chance to check it.
Even though I’m still in the honeymoon phase, mine isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Way too good of tool!

If I decide to downsize my board and go back to a full-size amp, this would be a top contender.
If he built that preamp into a pedal with an effects loop, I'd buy it immediately.
The amp's preamp has three tubes and associated circuitry, so a preamp pedal wouldn't be compact. That said, Jonathan designed and built a Box'O'Tone tube preamp, which might have an FX loop.... not sure whether he plans to put it into production. @JGR?
It would be taking the place of the Two Notes Le Bass on my board, which isn't exactly compact either.

Yeah, the BoT’s package is about as compact as I can do for a high voltage, hand-wired build. I have been thinking about doing another BoT based on the Saturn V’s circuitry, but I gotta knock out some of the amps first, and then a few tube amps before I take on any more projects.
From my Big5 personality assessment, I have learned that my high openeness, which is where the creativity comes from, is at odds with my high conscientiousness, which is what allows me to actually follow through with things. It is good to have both, but it creates a constant tug of war.

That's a nice perk, for sure!
Specs: sealed enclosure with ceramic woofers and mid driver, weight in the mid 50s. It's designed for JGR's upcoming 100W all-tube head so power handling is in the 300-400W range (I think?) but I've pushed it pretty hard with my VHF700 and haven't blown it up yet.
As a single cab solution it's bigger and significantly heavier than the Berg HG310 I was using. The Berg is a great-sounding neo cab, weight in the mid 30s, but my ears have always preferred the Berg NV line -- NV610 in particular. The JGR 2x12 is right there tone-wise, not to mention significantly lighter than the 100 pound NV610 and 70 pound NV212T.
The other night I stacked the One Control Hooker's Bassmachine into the Gasoline and wow! Some great grind when digging in and plenty of bottom end. Worked great for Working Man.
Something cool I noticed that reinforces how well made/designed the Gasoline is. I have two other dirt pedals on my board right now. When they are engaged there is a bit of a pop and the noise floor increases pretty noticeably. With the Gasoline it's silent when I kick it on and it barely adds any noise at all. God I love this stupid pedal.
