Request - ease up on the Sire advocacy

Just like the fEarful fever, it will die down after awhile. I'd guess it will be about 90 days before the classifieds get flooded with them.

Either that, or Marcus will pump something else......
I'm a fan of Marcus, but that never compelled me to buy a Fender MM signature, and I was actually quite skeptical of the Sire. Now I can't wait for the M7 to be released!

Not that I really care, but, can you put a Fender neck on a Sire body? Sire neck on a Fender body? Do Sire basses come with tort pick guards? Can you put a Fender logo on a Sire headstock? Who gives a sh#*.

Reminds me of a song:

I feel like this thread is about me because I've been doing exactly that lately. Sorry, I didn't think it would offend anyone, maybe I'm just super excited since mine arrived and it's a very quality instrument. Then again, I'm kinda like this about lots of things I own, maybe I have fanboyish genes. Anyone ever seen me go on and on about Sansamps? Dont get me started! Same for Ibanez SRs and maybe even Dunlop strings. Id probably make a good endorser if I could play bass. Again sorry if I've disturbed any threads, I'm really trying to be helpful because I would want someone to suggest this bass to me if I was looking for a jazz. Ill cool it down.

No matter what you do, someones gonna have a problem with it.

So unless you are on their payroll or an official endorser advocate away.

If someone wants suggestions on a jazz style bass, you're fine in suggesting a Sire.

Sure, but what makes this import bass worth a couple hundred more than an import Squire VM or CV?
The build quality is substantially better, competing more with Fender USA, and the preamp is better than anything Fender currently or ever has (to my knowledge) offered. They're not trying to compete with Squier, they're taking on Fender USA head to head, in my opinion (and a few others agree).

Well, one thing I have noticed, is that every photo I have seen taken of the back of one of these basses, there is at least one string ferrule that was drilled slightly off line with the rest of them. That is an aesthetic QC issue you shouldn't see in a production quality instrument.

Honestly OP, if you aren't aware of it, look into the ignore list.

You've been provided the tools to deal with serial posters of content you don't want to see, so why whinge when you can act decisively?

EDIT: My apologies, I discounted the possibility that you started this thread to bring the Sire Fanbois out of the woodwork to populate that list. If that indeed is the case...
...Well Played Sir!

I agree. None of mine have that issue.
