Just stumbled onto this thread, and read the whole thing. Wow! Like many others here, I'm not a BC rich fan, but even if I wouldn't be caught dead playing it, I recognize beauty when I see it, and that thing is beautiful!
I'm particularly impressed with the way you started the maple vs ebony motif along the middle and continued it throughout the instrument. That you managed to alternate the colors without making me immidiately think "checkerboard" speaks to a very effective application. I love instruments with a strong visual theme and you nailed it with this one.

What do these expensive electronics do? Aside from look just as intimidating as classic BC Rich basses of old? 
DiMarzio pups and Moser controls. The pre is what is wrapped in gray tape.
If you turn the chicken head knob to the left it will drain your bank account. If you turn it to the right it will drain your bank account a little more.
I guess that it must have some kind of flux capacitor...
