Resurrection Thread- Anyone own only ONE bass?

I’m almost there, need to flip 2 of these but as you can see it’s a very difficult decision...

I own one bass - a Ric 4001 in Fireglo. Its the best bass I've ever owned. It's also the only bass I've ever owned.

The year? 1978.

Today? All my answers are different. Except perhaps that Chris Squire is still awesome (and why my first bass was a 4001)

The most I ever had at once was three. Generally, I had just one bass. I say “had” because I’ve pared back to no bass, which is about as minimalist as it gets.
And yet you're here.

Something tells me you're not going to be at zero basses for long.

I have 1 for each day of the week , this is the number one for now
I used to have 8 (and 2 ampeg svt rigs). now I have 1 bass, 1 svt rig, a rumble 100, two electric guitars (partsmasters), an orange rocker 32, a Fender Supersonic 100 and two 4x12 cabs, and a Sonor SQ1 with a Ludwig black beauty and a Paiste red label set. A martin D-15M with mini k&k pickup, and a Fender acoustic pro. So full jam room.
