Return a Bass??

I could have fixed it myself,.

That's not what you said...

...or he doesn't like dropping over a grand on a bass that's dinged up when he gets it -
"When the bass came it had two dings already on it and the case had a crack as well."

..which has absolutely nothing to do with playing a bass with the output jack so loose that it falls off, and allows the jack to fall inside the control cavity, right???

Lets get this clear I got the bass with dings on it. I was displeased with it, but I also enjoyed playing it. the jack fell it and instead of bothering to fix it, I returned it. I dunno what your trying to prove here by keep questioning this.

I like to spend my money locally. The money cycles around my own local economy.

That's why I bought my new Am Dlx P, and J from a local store.
I got a very good price, and I had them ordered new, from Fender.
They opened the boxes for me, and I was under no obligation to buy them, even though they ordered them for me.

They play great, sound great, and look beautiful, (natural ash/maple necks).

I'll never sell them.

I'm just taking you at your words - it seems kind of foolish to keep a bass for 2 months with dings that you were dissatisfied with, if you were considering a return - and to also play it with a loose jack to the point that the jack falls inside of the control cavity... You were also the one who said you didn't have the tools to fix it, right???

After buying a new practice amp and shopping for a new bass I’ve decided that in the future I’ll buy this kind of stuff from a brick and mortar store. They’ll match or beat online prices, you can check it out for damage before leaving the store and it’s so much easier to return if you need to.

I personally don't own tools, but I called a friend up after posting here and he said he does. I live in a very small room. So I don't have anywhere to store tools. I could have fixed it if I wanted. Sorry I didn't inform the forum on every update officer George. As far as the dings they did bother me but like everything in life at least to me something has to pull the trigger and jack falling was it.

A loose bolt happens. I have 2 $6000 Sadowskys and occasionally I may need to tighten a jack nut. This is nothing.

If you paid full price and got a dinged bass with a cracked case, you should have returned it right then or they are refunding some of the money. One of the two.

Whatever, dude - I'm just reading what you wrote and commenting on it - if that gets you all butthurt, maybe posting in a public forum just isn't for you...
