Anybody hear or have this brand. I picked one up (Mercelli 4) in a local shop and it played like butter and had a great tone.Any insight would be of help thank you.

The original USA made Reverends were the very epitome of coolness and awesomeness (I own 3). These current import versions seem to be carrying on that tradition, from what I've read - haven't tried them myself yet. But lots and lots of Reverend fans on here.
My Thundergun...same pickups and electronics...is one of the best basses being made today. The price alone makes it a no-brainer when measured up against quite a few more expensive basses I won't bother to name.
This is right up there with my G&L L2000s.

I have a Wattplower original version. I don’t love it, but as a huge Watt fan, I’ll be keeping it. Mine is autographed by Watt himself.

I wasn't very familiar with the brand..... until I played a Gristlemaster @ ToneShopGuitars in Dallas. And then I played a PA-1... QC at Reverend must be waaaay better than most. Reverend has some great offerings, and I love the fact that they don't just do the same ol, same old...
I can relate, this is what I own my Epi Rumblekat... just a huge fan of Woody, way more than that bass itself. I really liked the latest Wattplower when I played one.
I tried one with a split-P pickup in the shop a few years ago and liked it a lot but wasn’t in need or knew anything about the brand at the time. Kinda wish I would’ve bought it. The condition was “very good” to “excellent” and the price was around $400.

The bassist for The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die was playing one of these when they opened for the Dear Hunter on their last tour. I was super impressed with the tone and have wanted to try one since.
Seems like a kinda low-key great bass for the price.

Even though it's not an "expensive" bass (well to me anything over a few hundred is expensive lol) it's for sure the nicest and best playing bass I've ever owned and probably close if not the best I've ever played.
And it just looks soooo coool. I get tons of compliments on the looks and the sound. There's a group for all things Reverend here.

I've been rocking a Dub King as pretty much my main player the past few months. It's an incredible bass.
From a looks perspective I really struggle with the shape of body, but they seem like good basses.
I’ve got a Triad that i love. I do find myself drawn to the Mercalli. I wish there was a local place to try it.

I’ve had several the main one being my pretty heavily modified thundergun. Sounds great and it’s light weight too.
For me, it’s just too wide at the nut. I’m into 1 1/2” or slightly smaller. The wattplower is 1 5/8”. For me, that 1/8” makes a huge difference. I had to sell a gorgeous Modulus that I otherwise loved over that 1/8”.
