reverse headstocks

yeah, it would be a jazz bass. i agree with the charvel/jackson style reverse headstocks being 'meh'. all i see is big blond hair and tight tight spandex.

I always though that fender reverse headstocks looked retro cool. as in Jimi style cool

Whether "cool" or not, there are advantages, which Hendrix discovered he liked when Fender "gave" him a proper lefty Strat... As the string diameter increases, so does string tension with the reverse headstocks. Has benefits for both guitar and bass (though less noticeable for bass). For this reason, Jimi stayed with the lefty strung righty Fender guitars. I too liked it for Fender guitars, but didn't notice much difference for basses... Plus, it feels odd when tuning a reverse headstock...
