in my opinion, EQing is much easier with reverse configuration. It doesn’t feel like I’m always having to make a compromise.
I’m getting ready to bash together another p bass with a Geezer EMJ p/j set and I intend to reverse the p again.

Reverse P bass P/Up ??

in my opinion, EQing is much easier with reverse configuration. It doesn’t feel like I’m always having to make a compromise.
I’m getting ready to bash together another p bass with a Geezer EMJ p/j set and I intend to reverse the p again.
I also prefer the reverse P. I feel like it makes the D and G strings more useable, without compromising the sound of the E and A strings. I just had my Jaguar bass modified to have a reverse P:
Nice! Looks like a half reverse, where the EA half stays put and the DG half is moved to the other side.
That’s exactly what I did. The EA side is actually moved forward just a little bit on this model, compared to a standard P, but I can’t really tell a difference.
Cool beans. I prefer a fully reversed configuration because I like a snappier tone, but I bet you have some sweet round tones across the fretboard.
I found this body here on TalkBass about 3 or 4 yrs ago. It was routed for a reverse pickup.
It is my best sounding P Bass.
