Rickenbackers

The M8e is a rickenbacker SE amp, circa 1958, originally sold with a Hawaiian lap guitar. Yes, I did replace the 12ax7 tube, it darkened the sound. And no I can't play my bass through it.

Ah, I see, cool. Thank you for the info! Have much fun playing through that amp! \m/

I'm cool with it either way. Mod it don't mod it. It's when I see router and drills getting used that I cringe. But it's not my bass and people can do what they want. As for 5 string Rics, I haven't played one. I think the necks on the converted ones would be too narrow(for me). Even with a wider neck, I don't know if I would like the B string. I feel the same way about 5 string P basses.
I certainly see no reason for anyone to be hateful. Some people are just "mean-Spirited". Most people are "good" People so don't let the naysayers get under your skin.

I've always been a Fender man .. I have a Fender and a Ric ... when I play out with the Ric.. bassists in the crowd always come up and complement me on how beautiful it looks. I cant argue that. They certainly aren't talking about me. ;)
