Rigs of Doom; Part 4

Here's my large rig of Doom: Fender Bassman 1200 Pro, 1200 watts RMS into 2 ohms, the cabinets are Bergs NV425 & NV412, both 4 ohm boxes ... works very well for outside gigs!

I don't know... Are you sure it's even loud enough for a small club gig?
This was my last Doom Rig contender. (currently ampless and looking into a TC Combo) It may not seem Doomalicious, but It had 1200 Watts of juice into the 1x18 and 2x10. Plenty loud for most gigs and practice. Of course more cabs and power would have been nice too...

I need to get a show set up with my new doom band so me and the other bassist (it's a doom band with 2 basses and drums) can get both of our full rigs together for epic doom.

Thanks, Andy - those cabs are definitely built for the long haul... I've been gigging the 610 for close to 3 years, and it shows little effect from so much playing out - probably over 200 gigs, actually...

Yeah, and that's without having a cover for it... My 810 came with the OEM cover, and it's got a little over 30 gigs on it since I got it in October - the only sign of it even being out of the house at all is one cracked corner piece, that's probably the result of one of the guitarists dropping it onto a concrete step when I wasn't there for a load-in... With as much as I'm gigging such a heavy cab, and having others move it a fair amount for me, if I have to buy a $6 corner every 3 months, I'm OK with that being a cost of doing business... I called Mesa and ordered 4 of them yesterday, actually - it's a heavy cab(173lbs), and I'm sure I'll probably need another corner piece sooner or later, especially given all the time it's spend in sub freezing temps...

They're quite the hassle to haul around. I'm also hoping to try a DB751 soon. But sorry - there's no way I'm selling.No offence to you of course.

I'm not sure if this one counts, I bi-amped these two rigs:
on the left, and ampeg SVT classic and an ampeg 610, I'm not sure what series or model number.
on the right was my warwick 410pro (had the grill taken off), which doesn't have a high frequency horn, and an ampeg 115 (again, not sure about specific series/model number) plugged into my warwick pro fet II, which is at the bottom in between the two rigs because it actually fell off beforehand.
oddly enough - my warwick, even though it's only 250 watts at 4 ohms, was at a lower volume than the ampeg, and you could still tell it was louder.

My MEGATRON Rig stands at 6 feet tall to the top of the speaker cabs and then add another foot for the road case that houses the SVT 4 Pro 1600 watt head and my korg tuner and furman power conditioner. I run all my effects through the effects loop out to the stage floor with my sure wireless system.
Very clean and sweet set up. I have had AMPEG, FENDER, ACOUSTIC, CARVIN and PEAVEY Cabs in the past but nothing ever compared to my custom built cabs, THEY ROCK.
The 4-10 cabs weigh in at 125lb each and the 1-18 cabs weigh in at 90lbs each. It's allot to haul around but it sounds AMAZING!

Most of my musician friends from Petaluma (where Mesa is made) like to call it "Metaluma". It's kind of an inside joke on the preponderance of un-reconstructed 80's thrash metal guys/Rush fans there.
not that there is anything wrong with that. But if you stop in at a 7/11 in "Metaluma" any time of day, odds are there is a dude in the parking lot with a Slayer shirt. If you hang out long enough he will try and sell you some biker speed.
