RIP Gene Wilder

What a wacko... my type of guy! RIP, Mr. Wilder. Loved most of his movies, but treasure "Young Frankenstein"!

Coming from an old guy who saw most of his movies in theatres when they first came out ( they didn't HAVE Comcast back then, and that's a good thing ) Gene brought a smile to my face and a ton of LOL's. Who can forget watching Young Frankenstein for the first time! He will be missed by many. RIP
He was and is, a wholly unique and enchanting presense in the world.
One of my elementary school teachers read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to us.
Within a year or two, the movie version came out starring Gene Wilder.
In my mind, he's right up there with Disney characters, Bugs Bunny, and the Wizard of Oz as my most profound earliest impressions.
Truly a unique legend, thanks for the escapism and good clean fun, Gene. RIP.

Sunday night I was sorting through my big collection of DVDs and decided to watch either Blazing Saddles or Young Frankenstein. Saddles won, because it had been longer since I'd last seen it.
Then Monday came the news that Gene Wilder died.
Now I'm afraid to touch my DVDs (and I don't seem to have any Tom Cruise movies).
Gene Wilder RIP. What a great actor and comedian.

Mammogram is down but I'm working manually
Went to watch Willy Wonka on the big screen tonight with my 6 year old. It was sold out so glad I had tickets (bravo AMC, $5 per tix). People clapped, cheered, it was truly emotional and some of the quotes are so relevant to today. Amazing writing and beautiful acting. My little one was blown away. What a class act.
