Damn! I'm grateful for his talent and that of his fraternity of bassists, As primarily an 'Oldies" bassist & due to their effort I'm able to access an awesome body of work to entertain others' with..

  5. Sad. A man who left his mark in the world of bass playing that is for sure. RIP Joe Osborn

  6. I've just this second read about his passing. Sad at any time of year, but Christmastime always seems to make it worse somehow. Hell of a legacy though. R.I.P. Joe.

Godspeed Joe. Many a musician brought your work home with them.

James Jamerson, Carol Kaye and Joe Osborn were huge influences on my formation as a bass player long before I ever realized who they were.
