He probably held on just to finish with his mates.Rest in Peace, you absolute legend.
Right after the Back to the Beginning show, too. I had no idea it would be so soon.

Whenever he'd have another Brit on, it often could be Pythonesque. Arthur Brown, as in "Crazy World Of…", and the Kinks' Dave Davies were like that as well. Even Derek Smalls…That was a great interview, nice to see Ozzy relaxed like that. Thanks.
I'm trying to imagine all those people in LA traffic trying to understand these two guys on the radio lol.
It's good he got such a lovely last hurrah before the end. Hopefully he felt every bit of that outpouring of love and appreciation. A true legend, one of the co-creators of a whole-ass genre, who did enough living for several lifetimes. May he rest in peace.
When news first broke my Son said it was Sweden but yes Ozzy and his wife supposedly made a pack if needed to do deed in SwitzerlandDo you mean Switzerland instead of Sweden?
Yep. Almost blew out my old man's speakers doing that. Aqualung shortly after. If you're 68'ish, can you ever forget getting your first Black Sabbath album, putting it on the turntable, cranking up the volume, and scaring the cr@p out of yourself and especially your parents? Not called Heavy Metal at that time; had no real name, but this was something different.
RIP Ozzy.
For years, Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones had a daily interview/music show on L.A. radio; you never knew who was going to show up, and it was always informative and hilarious. The following was one of those peak moments…with London East End cockney English meeting Black Country Brummie English, you may need a translator…
(when they cut away for the music announced, you won't actually hear it for royalty and time retrain reasons)
You sure those players didn't find him?Dude's true talent was to find the most talented players.
