Seriously though,.....does anyone still think this:.....

....is still a good idea?

Porsches may be pretty but this is a design flaw they've been trying to engineer around for over 40 years. Time to stick that heavy engine somewhere in front of the rear wheels.

EDIT: Preemptive Satire Alert

There has been too much misinformation and speculating concerning Dunn's death. It is a tragic loss, and I will reserve casting any aspersions about it until there's confirmations on his BAC and the circumstances of the accident. It'd be nice if other people did the same before assuming he was loaded while driving based on a cell phone picture.

It is indeed a sad day for Jackass fans.

Maybe I am victim to the Morissette Mislabeling..

Methinks so. No worries though! It just happens to be my biggest (perhaps only) grammatical pet peeve.

Irony is more like when you end up with the opposite of an expected outcome.

Like a person who eats really well in order to maintain their health dying of heart disease.

What serious performance car is front engined? Also it is in the back because racecar.

Please note that I said "somewhere in front of the rear wheels".

I didn't say it had to be front engined.

Also,...in a 911,...it's not just in the back,...it's hanging out over the rear wheels. At least on a Boxter; Porsche figured it out.

I'm sure the 911 is a wonderful machine to drive but I'm willing to bet that if Dunn drank a bottle of vodka and got into an Escalade (a car more suited to people with more money than brains) he and his passenger probably would have survived.

Far be it for me to dictate what people can and can't drive but a 911 GT3 is essentially a road legal racecar and as such commands a lot more respect than Ryan Dunn showed it.
