RIP Ryan Dunn

As a teenager, I grew up watching CKY and Jackass. Dunn was one of my favorites, almost like a teenage hero of mine. I feel like a part of my childhood has died. Sure it was a juvenile show/movies, but it was a lot of fun for me, especially considering I was maybe 13 or 14 when I saw the first CKY and Jackass came out.

Goodnight, sweet prince.

+1,000,000, my feelings exactly, its like hearing about an old friend dying...

(ps, nice to see these thread hopefully back on the rails :rollno:)

I've seen some bad porche wreak photos, and I thought they were designed to have the motor essentially fail first and be ripped off the car so you reduce the mass of what's essentially ballistic at that point. In a head on collision though I guess that wouldn't matter.

Also, I doubt you will get a bac if the body is badly burnt. I would like to hear how impaired or unimpaired his passenger was. One would hope the more sober of the two was driving.

EDIT: oops... wasn't trying to rederail... sad thing, as is any loss of life. Im sure more will come out.

In all seriousness, it's a sad Ryan's gone. He was definitely one of my favorite character's from Jackass/CKY. However, he was an idiot and he took the life of someone else because of his stupid decision. This probably wasn't the first time he'd driven himself home after a night of drinking.

RIP Ryan Dunn, but you're a ****wit.

There has been too much misinformation and speculating concerning Dunn's death. It is a tragic loss, and I will reserve casting any aspersions about it until there's confirmations on his BAC and the circumstances of the accident. It'd be nice if other people did the same before assuming he was loaded while driving based on a cell phone picture.

It is indeed a sad day for Jackass fans.

The NBC news bit referenced in the OP states that "friends" observed him having 6 drinks in a time period of less than 4 hours. There is a cell phone picture, but looks like the old "let's make some funny faces for the facebook" routine. He was speeding, which was in the police report. The only things these statements assume is that a) the NBC story was accurate, and b), the police report was accurate.

He earned this one. It is sad about the passenger, but IF YOU KNOW YOUR FRIEND IS DRUNK, MAYBE YOU DON'T GET IN THE CAR WHEN THEY DRIVE!

+1

A friend of mine recently lost his fiancee this way. She was drunk, and got in the car with another drunk who was driving. He lost control and slammed the passenger side into a tree. The drunk driver suffered minor injuries and is now sitting in jail.

It's a shame that on a music forum we get 5 pages of posts (and counting) for an idiot who got drunk and killed himself (and unfortunately, an innocent passenger), but only 2 pages for musician Clarence Clemons who died after a stroke instead of dying due to stupidity...

Now I'm hearing he isn't dead?

1. If it turns out to be hoax, which I highly doubt, then those in on it are scumbags.

2. If you mean you've heard he's isn't dead as in he survived the accident, then having to be identified from his tattoos also indicates this is unlikely.

God bless the Internet and the rumour mongering it fosters....

Well if youve noticed, most of the posts in this thread have been condemning the stupid behavior of the guy who killed himself and his not quite so innocent friend (that knowingly got into a car with a drunk driver). I think it'd be inappropriate if we all went into the the Clarence Clemons thread and started saying "having a stroke is stoopid".
