Those are amazing. I doubt if I will ever be lucky enough to justify one of those, but there's no harm dreaming. Those finishes are just beautiful. I also like his idea of sticking completely different bits of wood together for the bodies. It shouldn't work - but the way he does it - it does.

Jen's latest series of basses are now up on his web-site. There sure are some interesting finishes there! I love that copper Jupiter! Here's the link and some highlights: follow the link for more basses and more detailed shots.

jens imagination is endless..

Me, I'm scarred for life...ever since I owned #641 most basses feel heavy, slow, and dull. :(

:hyper:

First two are mine and the Copper Jupiter is the one I showed earlier on in this thread. It turned out nice, can't wait to destress it by self. The Flying Blue .... I almost died when I saw that bass.... WOW. Jens Artistic ability is equal to what an amazing person he is.

hands off at NAMM fella's............ :spit:

YES...!! The new Ritters are finally up...!! :hyper:

I LOVE your copper bass, Brian - but I'm also completely blown away by The Flying Blue... Now, THAT'S the way to use to pieces of wood for a body!!!

Oh, and my bass is also finally up... guess we solved the mystery about serial numbers, as it has "Boeing" #737 :p

Here it is...!

It'll complement the Platinum wonderfully...! Now just for that month's wait until it's here (my fault, not Jens').

Oh, and he's making fretted Concepts now... lucky they don't appeal to me...

(I'd wish... :help:)

Hi all,
just got #349 (Ritter Classic 5) used from a nice guy from the North of Germany and I must say its quality is level with my WALs. Fantastic instrument!
Cheers Oliver

Hello Oliver - and welcome to the owners' club! :)

You have a very nice bass there, and the finish is just beautiful. That deep blue finish over the flamed maple looks fabulous, and it's a great touch that the finish covers the entire bass.

You and your bass are in as #23 :)

I finally got my bass...!! The Roya 5 is here :D Man, what a pair I have now, it just makes everything else seem redundant to me... I'm even considering letting the old Fenders go, but I'll wait for a few months and see if I come to my senses :)

Here are the specs again:

Body - Purpleheart
Top - Birds eye maple
Neck - Limba (was expecting maple, but this is great!)
Fretboard - Purple Kingwood
Pickups - Ritter Triplebuckers
Electronics - Ritter Master electronics
Hardware - Gotoh custom Ritter gold
Matching headstock
24 frets
